Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

The position plays a key role in the company’s efforts to register and evaluate new and existing suppliers. The candidate will be an expert in the multiple steps and dependencies of the registration process and a key resource in researching evolving issues to formulate recommendations. Serves as liaison with other business units and internal departments representing the interests of the vendor onboarding program and formulating mutually beneficial solutions for process issues. The candidate will also play an important role in facilitating data management for the team, feeding data into corporate dashboards and liaising with special projects in data visualization and AI.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages the proprietary online registration tool, analyzing issues and identifying solutions through every stage of the process.
  • Manages Supplier Registration in-box, responding to user inquiries, monitoring task assignments and following up on stakeholders to minimize registration completion times.
  • Manages relationships and collaborates with key process stakeholders to identify areas for continuous improvement and simplification.
  • Researches vendor data across multiple systems and improves data quality where needed.
  • Maintains SMART database in collaboration with Supply Chain automation team.
  • Aggregates and reconciles data from multiple sources to create central repositories for effective program management.
  • Develops and maintains efficient reporting system working closely with third-party vendor and other internal stakeholders.
  • Produces flexible reports and dashboards regularly or on-demand.
  • Proactively contributes to tasks discussed on project management sessions.
  • Analyzes interdepartmental issues and proposes creative solutions with the goal of improving operational efficiencies and optimizing processes.
  • Resolves problems identified, independently or with the support of management when needed.
  • Periodically evaluates and enhances the department's supplier management tools for maximum benefit.
  • Contributes to system update discussions and participates in development and testing as needed.
  • Conducts operational effectiveness reviews and confers with users to ensure that newly implemented processes and systems are functioning as designed.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Technology related field. 5+ years of experience in data management, project management, supply chain management or quality control. Engineering or Information Systems degree is a plus.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Medium to advanced-level knowledge of MS Excel, basic-level MS Access. Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau or data visualization tools a plus. Flexible, analytical and creative thinker to suggest solutions to emerging issues. Ability and willingness to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with unexpected requests and changing priorities.Ability to manage internal and external customer support and assist with technical concerns, troubleshoot problems and effectively communicate solutions.
