Job Description


The Talent Management Senior Manager will serve as a key member of the Human Resources Talent Management & Organizational Capability Team with the goal of enhancing and advancing global talent strategies for our largest brand Royal with 45,000+/- employees world wide ship and shore side. This position is responsible for designing and implementing programs that aim to attract, measure, develop, and manage our talent pool.  Particular focus will be on building talent capability, business critical roles, performance and development, and succession planning.  The role will contribute to setting the talent strategy and partner with the Talent Management Acquisition team, the Learning and Development team and HR business partners to create strategic solutions for improving skills across our company.  Together these teams will work to ensure processes are business relevant, simplified and executed consistently to achieve desired HR and business results.

This position reports directly to the Director of Global Talent Management and Organization Capability and provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. He/she will formulate meaningful relationships across the business to deliver value-added service to leadership and employees by way of talent management activities to improve attraction, performance and retention of exceptional talent.



  • Provides talent development support and consulting to ensure successful execution of talent identification and development planning processes. This includes the talent review process, succession planning, and career paths.
  • Conduct talent assessments utilizing leadership development strategies, tools, and processes to identify learning needs and employee competencies.
  • Uses talent assessments to fill key skill gaps and identify employee readiness, talent gaps, and retention risks.
  • Initiates and provides recommendations to enhance new talent processes and system implementations.
  • Utilizes individual and team assessments; provides debriefs to individuals and teams utilizing company preferred tools e.g. 360 and OCI.
  • Provides coaching and mentoring to leaders in partnership with HRBPs
  • Provides thought leadership to leaders and HRBPs.
  • Mentors and shares best practices to assist other Talent Management team members development and learning.
  • Partner and collaborates with L&D to ensure key talent development and strategic solutions for improving skills across the company to meet our current and future needs of RCL.
  • Develops solutions and recommendations to achieve high individual and team performance within their brand responsibility and across the enterprise. 
  • Efficiently analyze organizational structures, responsibilities, team work, business or operating procedures, reporting relationships and work processes to design efficient methods of accomplishing work.
  • Builds upon and facilitates transference of knowledge to build best practices and capability in the HRBP community around talent management e.g. talent reviews, succession planning, and talent growth.
  • Analyzes, compiles and reports on key data related to promotions, retention, and other key metrics associated with talent management repertoire.


  • Assists department director with budgeting and management of expenses related to department activities.


Job Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
  • Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related field preferred.
  • Certifications and or experience in learning management systems and talent management assessments preferred.
  • Certification in coaching preferred. 


  • 10+  years of Talent Management , organization design, and or other HR related experience.
  • Demonstrated passion for growing and developing talent with practiced organization development experience in multi national environments and larger complex organizations.
  • Experience designing and implementing competency frameworks, performance management, career development and succession processes.
  • Experience in talent assessment tools and partnering with HR and business leaders to develop pragmatic solutions.
  • Coaching and 360 debrief experience, certification preferred.
  • Ability to identify potential people-side risks and anticipated points of resistance, and develop specific plans to mitigate or address concerns.
  • Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments and or partners.
  • Experience building relationships senior leaders/executives and managing those relationships.
  • Strategic thinker and global mindset experience working in a mutli-national environment.
  • Strong team player, interpersonal skills and customer focus
  • Excellent diagnostic and consultative skills.
  • Skilled and persuasive verbal, written, and communications skills, strong presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated project management experience.
  • Advance knowledge of Excel, Power Point, and other MC office suite solutions.
