Job Description

Position Summary:

This individual will be responsible for recording financial transactions in accordance with U.S. and international accounting requirements related to sales, marketing and general & administrative expenses associated with the operations of non-U.S. entities. The tasks include, but are not limited to, preparation of journal entries & reconciliations, assistance with the preparation and review of financial reports, liaising with Tax, Finance, Treasury and other Accounting groups within the organization and in the international offices to address and resolve accounting related issues.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of journal entries and reconciliations of assigned non-U.S. entities.
  • Preparation of journal entries and reconciliations related to intercompany transactions.
  • Preparation of intercompany invoices.
  • Preparation of journal entries related to transfer pricing.
  • Preparation of various financial reports to analyze results of operations of non-U.S. entities, including but not limited to aging of account receivables and payables.
  • Analyze impact of foreign exchange revaluations for all non-U.S. entities.
  • Preparation of financial reports as requested by non-U.S. entities to manage their business.
  • Assist with the review of audited financial statements for non-U.S entities.
  • Assist with developing processes, procedures and accounting controls in non-U.S. entities.
  • May require travel to foreign offices as needed (10%-15%).

 

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from a four-year college or university.
  • 1-2 years’ experience in Accounting or related field.
  • Strong excel and database management skills, ability to create reports & analyze data.
  • Fluent in Spanish a plus.
  • Must have knowledge of and be able to apply U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Ability to research and apply international accounting principles.
  • Ability to understand and work with foreign currency translation.
  • Requires strong analytical skills.
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be literate in Windows operating system, Excel, Word and Power Point.
  • Strong Excel and database management skills.
  • Oracle JD Edwards, Hyperion , Brio and Essbase knowledge preferred.
