Position Summary:

Given the brand's breadth of itineraries across the world, the majority of guests require air in order to get to their cruise. Currently a small portion of guests buy air through Celebrity, and the goal is to transition to a strategy where the majority of guests book air through Celebrity. This will require transformation in communications and Marketing, technology, Revenue and Sales¿ strategies, and our relationships with airlines. This position will help lead a transformation in how Celebrity significantly increases the number of guests who book flights through Celebrity. Celebrity's Air program delivers benefits to guests such as best price, more consumer choice, and overall peace of mind in the vacation experience. By strategically expanding the air program, Celebrity will grow revenue and APD through better retention of guests and an earlier booking cycle.
To drive this transformation, this position requires strong entrepreneurial drive and the ability to influence senior level leadership. The strategy will involve working closely with internal partners in Sales, Marketing, Revenue and Corporate Travel. It also requires high level partnerships, product development and negotiations with external partners such as airlines and travel agencies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Influence Air Transformation for the brand, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to drive change across the organization that will significantly grow the number of guests who book Air with Celebrity.
  • Evolve the air strategy to include experimentation, KPI management, and strategic planning to accomplish brand objective.
  • Must exhibit the ability to influence senior leadership and drive necessary collaboration with all stakeholders who will execute the strategy. Will require creativity, initiative, drive, and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
  • Develop digital strategies, work with the web, ecommerce and consumer outreach teams, and develop initiatives to drive demand through trade partners.
  • Will lead a cross functional effort to develop strategy for Business-to-Business and Business-to-Consumer.
  • Drive change management both within and outside of the organization with both internal and external stakeholders. Accountable for execution of ideas and recommendations that will involve changes to operating practices.

 

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required and MBA preferred; five to eight years of business analytics or consulting experience. 
  • Strategic thinking and analytical skills, with proven ability to digest and synthesize large amounts of data and information into executive-level reports and documents.
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects. Proven track record of collaborating effectively with all levels and functions in an organization.
  • Pro-active and consultative approach focused on problem solving.
  • Strong financial acumen with analytical/quantitative skills, familiarity with one or more statistical/analytical tools and ROI models.
  • Project management and facilitation skills required. Change management skills.
  • Fast learner and able to link diverse sources of information to the business, including ability to handle confidential information and materials with appropriate discretion.
  • Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word required, inclusive of financial modeling.
  • Essbase and Hyperion (formerly BRIO) required.
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to handle multiple projects.
  • Proficiency with statistical / analytical tools such as Hyperion Studio, Essbase, SAS, and R.
  • Takes initiative and is flexible to change.
