POSITION SUMMARY / JOB PURPOSE:

The Senior Account Executive, Premium Product Development is responsible for assisting the Land Product Development Managers with regional shorex, mid-cruise overland experiences, events and premium product program development worldwide, to include AzAmazing Evening Events, Ticketed Events (example: Monaco Grand Prix) and other brand promotions and initiatives. 

Additionally, the Senior Account Executive, Premium Product Development prepares reports and communicates all event details and program information across all fields of business, internally and externally.  This is done by strategic initiatives, comparative analysis on products and pricing. In addition to assisting the Managers, the Senior Account Executive will also support the Director, Land Product Development in the development and finalization of new products lines and initiatives for the brand.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Assist with product management in the development of the above described products worldwide and ensures that they are properly and consistently presented in hybris and AS400.

- Support the Land Product Development Managers in the execution of key strategic initiatives, identifying the tactics that will help us achieve our KPIs and monitor results. Assist in any RFP reviews as needed.

- Engage with senior management and executives to develop new concepts / ideas fitting with the premium shore excursion products by identifying what impact to the business it would have as well as the benefit of any investment involved.

- Track and process all invoices related to the above described products and setting up any new vendor information in the system.

- Submit to the copywriter Operational Forms of new Premium Products and special events that are aligned to the brands. This includes gathering all pertinent information and data to clarify objectives and identify challenges, etc.

- Ensure communications are created in collaboration with the onboard Shore Excursion teams and facilitate them in achieving the revenue goals for each voyage.

- Partner with Managers, Product Development to ensure destination and tour content developed by Premium Product Development do not overlap or conflict.

- Possess in-depth understanding of the strategic objectives and tactical plans of the brand and actively seek opportunities to broaden the reach and effectiveness of our Premium Product Development efforts.

- Support guest satisfaction ratings for Azamara’s AzAmazing Evening Events by working with marketing to achieve annual targets.

- Set-up bi-weekly meeting with the brand marketing department personnel to review new and past Premium Products and ticketed/special Events.

- Provide occasional weekend coverage for any situations that need immediate responses.

Job Requirements

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field or equivalent, directly related experience.

- 5+ years of experience in event planning or supporting tour program development. 

- Strong project management and very strong detail-oriented organizational skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.  Ability to work in fast paced environment.

- Strong presentation & communication skills are required as this position regularly interacts with many functions in the organization.

- Working knowledge of personal computers within a windows environment with e-mail, and MS Word with advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, along with related printers and equipment.

- Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagrams, or schedule form.

- Ability to provide occasional weekend coverage and be available via phone for any situations that need immediate responses.
