Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for   maintaining shore excursion inventory offerings contained in the Advanced Shipboard Revenue (ASR) for all three brands. This includes obtaining, analyzing, validating and loading all tour allotments and prices and creating/maintaining tour offerings to display on external websites.  This position also serves as support to IT regarding ASR defects, enhancements and migrations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Partners with product and brand management in the development of shore excursions and special events in all regions.
Maintains and ensures completion of inventory set-up and maintenance for all itineraries and destinations taking into consideration passenger demand and brand strategy.
Supports negotiations with tour operators and manages the contracts and programming efforts of special events and portfolio changes. 
Reviews initial tour content description to determine consistency with submitted operating plan details. Ensures tour programs are properly and consistently presented.
Actions weekly demand for inventory and requests additional space for high demand offerings or closes no-demand offerings in coordination with Manager, GTO Analytics and product managers.
Provides regular updates of Time to Market (TTM) and inventory for assigned regions and/ or processes. Based on these, takes suggested course of action to maximize excursion revenue for future call dates.
Communicates tour content, pricing and specifics of major programs to domestic / international shoreside and shipboard employees to ensure programs can be used for sales and promotional purposes. If applicable, provides support to call centers or agents with questions regarding tour program availability or specifics.
Actions reports from ship and shoreside management and process recommendations and changes to optimize tour mix, positioning, demand, and revenue.
Assists in creation of training documents and presentations including organization of past (historical) destination information for future planning and communication to onboard staff.
Generates inventory reports for tour operator reviews, and internal GTO review and analysis.
Assists in adhoc projects to maximize revenue and reduce cost in the shore excursion, shopping or shuttle program.
Provides business and system testing of ASR in conjunction with IT.  Reports defects, provides needed support for IT in resolution of defects and provides support during migrations. 
Performs weekly queries and performs quality assurance audits.  This could include, but is not limited to, inventory and/or pricing discrepancies, online descriptions, images and video, tour operator restrictions, insurance certificates, operating plans and tour operator invoices.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors degree or equivalent years of directly related experience.
1-2 years of experience in Global Tour Operations and/or planning or supporting tour program development
Thorough understanding of GTO in-house management/IT systems desirable

Shipboard experience not required, but desirable
In depth experience with AS400 preferred
