Job Description


This is an important, strategic role in the implementation of public relations programs designed to create and maintain favorable public image for the organization and expand our internal expertise. Key responsibilities include media and influencer relations, press trip logistics, and event support and staffing. 



The individual in this role is responsible for assisting with the implementation of public relations and media relations initiatives. They will perform a wide range of duties including:

- Help achieve company/client goals via strategic, assigned efforts

- Handle incoming media inquiries

-Track press coverage, and create and maintain clips and media lists

- Present content/copy ideas with accompanying visual or video suggestions

- Bring ideas to the table based on promotions calendars, milestones, holidays, etc.

- Coordinate travel and logistics for media visits, ship tours, productions, etc.

- Assist at special events, inaugurals, ship launches, etc.

- Facilitate team calendar

- Support team members across various projects

- Stay abreast of latest industry developments, trends, and shifts in the travel industry

Job Requirements


-Bachelor’s degree required with a concentration preferably in public relations, communications or journalism.  

-Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in public relations, media relations and/or journalism. Agency experience a plus.  

- Strong writing skills. Press release writing, story narrative and message creation experience a plus.

- Excellent research, written, verbal and presentation skills.

- Ability to coordinate projects or participate in cross-functional teams.

- Creativity. Willingness to experiment. 

- Understanding of social media, influencers and emerging media

- Strong project management, planning, evaluation, and analytical capabilities.

- Detail oriented and ability to work in fast-paced, high volume environment.

- Experience with media relations a plus

- Solid MS Office skills.
