Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for developing strategic planning and management for the large-scale projects within the Asset Management department. Effective project management skills are essential to drive Asset Management initiatives while leading cross functional collaboration across the organization (IT, Newbuild, Supply Chain, Operations and Finance) to deliver high-quality and successful projects and strive for continuous improvement in all areas to meet the set business goals for RCCL Corporation.

 

Based in Miami, FL and reporting to the Asset Project Manager – Global Marine Operations, this position requires effectively managing projects and alignment with PMO strategies and processes.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Role of Project Management for projects within the Asset Management department
  2. Strive for continuous improvement of data quality and standardization across the fleet
  3. Maintain direct communication with Asset Management Project Manager on current and new developments in Asset Management that impact the business processes and goals.
  4. Direct and support Asset Management projects ensuring adherence to PMO and Global Project Management Standards.
  5. Works closely with key internal/external stakeholders to understand how to adapt and evolve the strategy for delivering high-quality and successful projects
  6. Facilitates communication between internal and external stakeholders
  7. Continuous research on improved efficiencies of current products and its content including new innovations.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business/Technology or related field preferred
  2. In depth understanding of project management processes. Professional accreditation preferred
  3. Extensive knowledge of AMOS M&P systems, with at least 5- 7 years of experience as system administrator
  4. Extensive knowledge of database architecture, content and development
  5. Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office based systems such as Excel, Visio, Word and Project are required
  6. Experience in the travel/cruise industry preferred
  7. Experience: 5-10 years
  8. Fluent in English

 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Candidate must possess a combination of strategy, execution, organizational and communication skills.  This role requires that the candidate have a proven track record of leading teams through concept, design and delivery of high-quality and successful projects.  Strong project management skills, with heavy emphasis on development and execution. Able to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously. Proven ability to collaborate with others, plus the ability to build strong and sustainable relationships, and the capability to interact with all levels of the organization. Experience developing strategic framework, planning, executing and managing projects. Willingness to take personal initiative. Strong business acumen. Candidate must possess strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively at the senior most executive levels of a company. Attention to detail and follow-through. Strong key computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project)
