Position Summary / Job Purpose:

Based in Miami, FL and reporting to the Director, BI & Digital Analytics, the Sr. Manager, Digital & eCommerce Analytics Royal Caribbean is an experienced digital analytics leader with a passion for marketing and understanding the drivers of marketing performance and using these insights to inform our marketing programs.


We are seeking a leader who has the vision and experience to build a web analytics capability that is constantly striving to improve program performance. The role requires a multi-channel view of marketing programs. The ideal candidate will be able to quickly support the organization with its immediate needs but also think strategically about how analytics needs to evolve at Royal Caribbean.


In this role, you'll lead a team of talented analysts aligned with product teams, helping the Ecommerce org improve conversion rate and customer experience, measure our impact and prioritize the right work through analysis, reporting/dashboarding, experimentation and tagging.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Build Best in Class E-Commerce Analytics Practice

  • Lead and manage Digital Analytics team, recruit and develop talent, build processes to effectively build and enhance web analytics practice.
  • Build and strengthen capabilities in Web Analytics, including measurement capabilities, strategic insights & analysis of website behavior, and optimization initiatives.
  • Work to enhance analytics technology. Monitor the integrity of all web analytics data, working with platform owners to identify gaps and data collection issues where necessary
  • Develop strategies for prioritization of analytical project initiatives through supportable analytical projects which impact or enhance customer experience.
  • Evangelize Web Analytics capabilities and findings across organization.

 Drive Integration of Behavioral Web Analysis & Product Owners

  • Work with marketing and web product teams to unearth insights to promote data-driven decisions that improve eCommerce site performance
  • Identify digital key performance indicators; analyze, understand, and communicate performance trends and optimization recommendations; and provide insights and data stories to help accelerate the success of digital strategies and tactic to find growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with business segments on “telling the story” of digital performance and behaviors,
  • Measure quality of traffic across the consumer decision journey to ensure we understand the needs of visitors and deliver the best user experience


Cultivate Testing & Optimization Organization

  • Manage the design, execution, and analysis of the testing program (A/B, multivariate), driving improvements in capabilities and strategy. Promote valid test design and execution methodology.
  • Strengthen the test and learn culture by coaching other analytics members and training stakeholders
  • Design and execute experiments that drive incremental change and improvements to conversion rate and customer experience.

The ideal candidate will need to have a history of leading a team of analytical resources/subject matter experts in support of Marketing initiatives, including customer segmentation, campaign performance and digital data design, implementation, production deployment and analysis.  They will also lead and develop team members to deliver highest quality analytics and insights that drive decision making and strategic development of business and marketing.


Job Requirements

Education, Experience, Knowledge & Skills:


  • Bachelor degree required, with an analytical/quantitative concentration preferred
  • 8+ experience in eCommerce/digital analytics or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of management or supervisory experience
  • Ability to think strategically and 'big picture'
  • Knowledge of leveraging data from Adobe Analytics/SiteCatalyst product is preferred, along with experience supporting personalization via Adobe Target and Audience Manager.
  • Strong working understanding of A/B and multivariate testing techniques and best practices
  • Experience with Tag Management solutions, preferably Tealium and Tag Governance
  • Strong knowledge of the online travel industry, and travel/tourism in general desired
  • Must be well organized, methodical and pay close attention to detail, possess strong estimating, planning and time management skills and demonstrate the proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Good organizational and project management skills to include milestones, budgeting and resource allocation.
  • Sound leadership skills to coach, mentor and motivate teams. Effective interpersonal skills with strong focus on building strategic client-based relationships and teamwork. Exceptional customer service orientation.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with exceptional follow-through practices.

  • Excellent critical thinking, verbal and written communications skills, with strong experience in communicating with senior managers and executives
  • Ability to display data visually, creating powerful presentations which effectively quantify and justify value created to both analytical and non-analytical audiences
  • Adept at developing relationships across diverse teams, including statistical, technical, and marketing resources
