Position Summary:

We are looking for a Senior IT Portfolio Manager, Cyber Security to plan and carry out difficult and complex Information Security assignments. In this role, you will develop a deep knowledge of our systems and oversee multiple tracks of work for high priority security initiatives. You will partner with legal, product, and engineering teams to size and scope each initiative and outline a plan to deliver. This role requires a deeply experienced program leader who will help coach and facilitate cross-team collaboration, understand and track risks and dependencies, remove blockers and most importantly, help drive the delivery of mission-critical security priorities.

 

Requirements:

  • Planning: Facilitate cross-team planning, estimation of the work and provide coaching to ensure teams feel estimates are achievable. Facilitate scope discussions and help make sure there is alignment on what’s in scope across the involved teams and leadership.
  • Prioritization: Help drive prioritization conversations if a needed team has resource contention.  Facilitate appropriate escalation to leadership if conflicts cannot be resolved. Ensure team is following outlined portfolio level workflows pertaining to demand management.
  • Portfolio Management: Organize and monitor inter-connected projects across various teams to insure dependencies are exposed and scope is well understood.  Facilitate periodic synchronization meetings to help insure a holistic and thorough solution.
  • Promote and support a collaborative culture helping multiple teams unite around a shared outcome.  Measure, track and report progress striving for stable and reliable delivery.
  • Team Structure & Staffing: Ensure teams are adequately staffed for the effective execution of projects.  Forecast and track team resource needs.
  • Executional Excellence: Help teams¿ problem-solve and keep forward progress. Oversee the successful completion of all assigned tasks.  Role model team work, commitment, accountability, transparency and partnership.
  • Budget Management: Track and report on program financials and insure forecast is accurate and maintained.
  • Risk Management: Own tracking and mitigating risk and issues across the portfolio.
  • Process Management: Monitor and evaluate programmatic and operational effectiveness and provide the coaching required to make ongoing improvement. 
  • Communications Management: Develop and maintain strong working relationships with technical and non-technical teams involved with information security and privacy (Legal, Business Development, Internal Audit, Fraud, Physical Security, Developer Community, Networking, Systems, etc.). Prepare program and team reports and provide ongoing visibility into the health of your program.

 

 

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems Management, Computer Science or related technical field. 
  • Familiarity working with large scale Project & Portfolio Management solutions (ex. Workfront, Planview)
  • Deep and broad experience with IT environments including telecommunications, network, data centers and related technology applications required.
  • Understanding of Databases, Middleware systems, Operating Systems, Cyber-Security, SAN/NAS Storage and IBM Mainframes.
  • CISSP, CISA, CISM, or PCI QSA certifications preferred.
  • 5+ years of Technical Program Management experience that includes work spanning across the full IT technology stack
  • Familiarity with cyber-security frameworks such as with PCI DSS, ISO 27001, HIPAA, or NIST frameworks.
  • Experience with multiple forms of SDLC¿s (ex. Waterfall, Agile (Scrum)) and relaying activities into a unified portfolio view of a product or program’s health.
  • Understanding of the SAFe’s Program Increment (PI) Planning process and portfolio organization around PI calendar cadence.
  • Experience with the Capital Planning Process and providing supporting artifacts and data to inform the decision-making process
  • Able to manage large, transformative initiatives that impact multiple business units
  • Understanding of IT related controls, security policies, and implementation.
  • Demonstrated experience with stakeholder management, project management, and leading through influence.
  • Proactive, self-starter able to jump in, ramp up and lead without a lot of oversight or direction.
  • Preferred Qualifications:  PMP Certification, SAFe 4.0+ Certification, Scrum Master and/or Product Owner Certified
