Job Description

Position Summary:


This position is responsible for supporting port operations and port development both administratively and analytically.  This position will focus on managing the port agent relationship with our global agent network. Effective communication of information to Senior Management, other operating groups, and external vendors/stakeholders is critical to the success of this position. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Must posses the ability to source agent bids, evaluate data, form business recommendations, award representation, terminate representation, address agent performance, provide agent feedback, and ensure agent is trained in delivering services as expected
  • Act in direct support of the Worldwide Port Operations Manager.(Manage Port relationships as needed Address and manage day to day operational issues)
  • Develop, document, and implement key processes and procedures
  • Develop Port Operations operational plan for key ports
  • Assist with development of Port Operations manual
  • Work closely with key departments or divisions to accomplish Land Operation goals.
  • Responsible for assisting with the annual plan, forecast, projections, and analytics needed to support the business unit.
  • Assist with ensuring that financial data, internal control procedures, invoicing, auditing and system processes meet standards and business goals.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and ability to support the multiple areas within Land Operations.
  • Provide direct support during operational contingencies globally.
  • Must be able to work across departments to collect information, disseminate information, and drive for results

 

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Four-year Bachelor's degree required.
  • 3-5 year Financial Analyst experience.
  • Masters in Business Administration and/or Finance (MBA, MS), or equivalent advance training, is preferred.
  • Individual must be able to speak and write fluent English.  Must possess strong written (English) and be able to work effectively with all levels of operational personnel (Analyst to Sr. Executive).  Multi-lingual ability is advantageous.
  • Progressive experience in finance, accounting, or other analytical position desired.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, organizational, analytical, computer, and spreadsheet modeling skills.
  • Must be detail oriented to ensure accuracy, and a demonstrated ability to work independently.
  • Must be a critical thinker and use proper judgment when rendering conclusions or decisions.
  • Ability to manage individual tasks toward overall goal or objective
  • Must possess the ability to develop, document, and implement processes
  • MS Excel,MS PowerPoint,MS Word intermediate ability required
  • MS Visio intermediate ability desired.
  • MS Access, Brio,ESSBASE,JDE basic ability desired.
  • Basic data modeling and analysis of large data sets advantageous.
