Position Summary:


The Sr Analyst, Data & BI will be responsible for the design, development and maintenance of reporting business solutions meant to maximize profitability and guest satisfaction. The Senior Analyst will develop reporting and data engineering solutions to provide quantitative and qualitative business insights and improve decision making across various departments, including marketing, onboard revenue, sales and call center, product development and commercial.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement new solutions to business intelligence processes. This includes requirements gathering, analysis, development, implementation, and testing of advanced database procedures.
  • Design and implement complex Oracle PL/SQL procedures and packages against various production databases. Drive efficiency improvements to existing PL/SQL jobs and systems.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity through regular audits, automated reports, data testing and validation. 
  • Create business intelligence reporting, dashboards and data visualizations that help drive strategic decision making and measure improvements in all key performance indicators and operational metrics.
  • Partner with the BI team and internal stakeholders in defining the end state reporting goals and/or dashboard requirements.
  • Develop and implement statistical forecast models, data mining projects and predictive models for different business units.   
  • Develop models and statistical analysis to support Marketing initiatives and customer segmentation, campaign targeting and effectiveness, and optimizing precruise revenue for email and direct mail.

 

Job Requirements

Education, Experience, Knowledge & Skills:

  • Master's degree in MIS, Computer Science, or Statistics preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university required (in MIS, Computer Science, or Statistics).
  • 3+ years of work experience in related field preferred.
  • Able to independently formulate recommendations, action programming directives and balance a variety of tasks.
  • PL/SQL and Oracle database experience required. 
  • Knowledge of SAS is a plus.
  • Strong quantitative analysis skills and knowledge of applied statistics, optimization, and modeling.
  • Experience with analytical processes, text mining, and predictive analytics is a plus.
  • Experience with reporting and visualization with tools like MS Power BI and Tableau.
  • Ability to effectively present information to executive management.
  • Ability to work accurately and effectively to meet deadlines, prioritize tasks related to own responsibilities.
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently to recognize, trouble shoot, and solve problems.
  • Outstanding attention-to-detail and organizational skills.
