Job Description

Position Summary:

The primary responsibilities of this position are to create complex financial models, analyze merger and acquisition targets, analyze the performance of certain joint ventures and support other corporate development activities. This position reports to the Manager of Corporate Development and works closely with the VP of Corporate Development and senior leadership team.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Analyze acquisition and investment opportunities consistent with Royal Caribbean's M&A strategy
  • Perform industry and financial analysis leading to specific recommendations
  • Develop complex financial models to evaluate a target's financial projections
  • Perform comprehensive financial valuations involving discounted cash flow, accretion/dilution, and comparable company/transaction analyses
  • Perform and document due diligence (or coordination and review of due diligence performed by others) for potential acquisition targets
  • Develop strong business relationships with business leaders, functional leaders, and investment bankers

 

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's Degree is required/Master's degree desirable
  • Minimum 1-3 years related work experience
  • Strong analytical, research, and financial modeling skills
  • Advanced Excel or programming skills required
  • Experience working closely with C-Level and senior executives
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build compelling narratives with relevant supporting materials
  • Ability to develop sophisticated PowerPoint presentations
  • Ability to deliver presentations with confidence in senior management meetings
  • Prior investment banking and/or consulting background preferred
  • Technical ability to develop electronic data rooms (internal and external SharePoint sites)
  • Strong project management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to conduct complex analysis and present data in a meaningful way; into executive-level reports and documents.
  • Fast learner and able to link diverse sources of information to the cruise business, including ability to handle confidential information and materials with appropriate discretion.
  • Strong organizational skills and detail orientation
  • Open minded, flexible, and willing to listen for other people's opinions
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate over the phone with a variety of individuals at all technical levels are required
