Job Description

Position Summary:

Provide a high level of support and analysis to the region of Latin America. This position will interact directly with the Sales, revenue. Mkt, Business Operations  and also with travel partners. In addition it will require networking and interaction with all relevant internal departments in order to complete tasks related to sales distribution and operational excellence. Analytical, sales, and marketing efforts tailored to the individual countries or regions. He/she will spearhead communication efforts with each market and Latin America Irs. This role is responsible for the distribution of reporting analysis, updating tools and providing business information for the Sales department and Latin America business. This position will interact and provide support, creation of new and existing reports and models in order to analyze reports, demand and business trends. An analytical mindset is required along with advanced excel skills to interpret and present results.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Sales Programs monitoring/control and reports generating.
  • Plan, organize and ensure a successful execution of all sales related events such as travel partner functions, industry trade shows and events, symposiums, inaugurals, ship reveals, client events, team events and all site inspections.
  • Sales Program analysis finance report
  • Work with Manager on all departmental marketing initiatives including the development of marketing briefs, creation of assets for all marketing campaigns; successful implementation of all marketing deliverables. Execute and analyze results of all marketing campaigns.
  • Conducts sales research on various projects
  • Responsible for seeing a problem to its complete resolution, must get things done and take complete ownership
  • Day to day support, which will include problem solving, production of mailings, flyers, assisting with the planning and setting up conferences.
  • Ad Hoc, timely and accurate communications of Sales Performance information to Sales Manager.
  • Day to day control of setting up and maintaining IR¿s profiles in AS400 system.
  •  Working closely with Marketing on production and sign off of marketing materials.
  • Day to day handling incoming telephone enquiries.
  • Assist in the creation of collateral, sales and training tools for the department which includes but is not limited to: brochures, PowerPoints, sales flyers, training presentations, Event Customization Guide, etc. Manage collateral and trinket inventory.
  • Support the MICE & Charter Sales team with a wide variety of sales and marketing requests.
  • Build, establish and maintain excellent business relationships with travel agencies, incentive houses, direct and charter clients; in addition to creating and fostering effective working relationships
  • Coordination of promotions such as vouchers, on board credit promotions - including the creation, communication, tracking and reporting of promotion.
  • Set up and maintenance of trade database for all regions
  • Set-up maintenance screens based on the new requirements provided by the Finance department
  • Weekly review of new agency report to control compliance with the market requirements
  • Co-ordination of the creation, tracking and reporting
  • Assist in the distribution of monthly statistical reports for Account Business Partners.


Job Requirements

Knowledge, skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree from a 4 year college or university recommended. 3-5 years' experience in a sales/marketing environment, preferably in the cruise or travel industry.
  • Experience with creating and executing marketing campaigns as well analyzing tracking metrics and creating reports for such campaigns.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to develop strong relationships with middle and senior level management as well as external clients and vendors
  • Creative thinker.
  • Escort site inspections, client events, symposiums, etc.when necessary.
  • Must work well on a team and be willing to pick up other team members.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Comprehensive working knowledge and experience of the Travel Industry business.
  • Excellent negotiating and influencing ability and interpersonal skills
  • Problem solving skills and ability to use own initiative
  • Outstanding Commercial awareness / Business acumen.
  • Time management skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Proven ability to multi task
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong systems literacy and numerical reasoning.  PC skills including Word and Excel and AS400 preferrable system.
  • High level of English
  • High level of Spanish
