Job Description


The Manager, Succession & Executive Advancement will work with our Talent team to analyze data from executive talent readiness and talent programs to assist in building succession and development plans. Specific goals will be to design, create, and develop talent reporting to assist in identifying actionable trends that will impact executive succession and development plans. In this role, he/she will also interpret the data trends to be used to make recommendations for the strategic growth and development of executive succession and development plans. This role will report to the Director, Succession & Executive Advancement. 


  • Utilize the internal systems to design the creation of reports or enhancements of existing reports to analyze the composition of our executive talent on a regular basis
    Researches, develops and maintains a repository of information on existing talent capabilities including knowledge, skills, abilities, experiences and other key information required for key roles
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of board level sensitive materials
  • Manage program due dates to ensure that talent reports are available to meet program deadlines
  • Uncover gaps in talent pipeline and recommend methods for eliminating gaps and impacts to succession planning
  • Acts as a sole point of contact for issues related to metrics, reporting, research and data mining
  • Develop robust data visualizations in the form of dashboards that highlight key metrics on executive talent pipeline
  • Consult on ad hoc requests of the Talent team

Job Requirements


  • 7+ years broad Talent Operations, Talent Management or HCM systems expertise
  • Preferred experience working in a talent management, organizational design or talent development analyst role
  • Bachelor’s degree Business, HR, Organizational Development or other related discipline required
  • Proven experience at data mining using various platforms and system and can translate insights into a talent story
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to tell the story behind the data and consult with Senior Leadership within a Fortune 500 organization
  • Advanced hands-on experience in dashboard creation and data report development including succession planning reports
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel (including Pivot tables / charts) required
  • HCM report data extracting and report development required 


  • Proven talent management experience, including but not limited to talent reviews, succession, and talent data analytics
  • Excellent organization skills, ability to prioritize multiple tasks, meet tight deadlines, and thrive in a fast-changing environment
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and consultative skills; can proactively translate business needs to timely, pragmatic solution
  • Deep knowledge and experience using data analytic tools
  • Team player with strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Executive presence; strong presentation and facilitation skills
  • Ability to build strong, collaborative relationships at all levels and influence others and lead others through change
