POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for profitable revenue generation of International MICE and Charter Sales.  This International MICE and Charter Sales Manager will manage all sales and marketing efforts direct with clients, through Incentive Houses, RCI International Offices, Global International Representatives worldwide as well as Field Sales Accounts.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establishes and drives International MICE and Charter Sales and Business Development strategy

     

  • Owns and manages all sales and marketing aspects of the International charter business. Owns and manages all sales aspects and is the primary contact for all of the International MICE sales.

     

  • Expands charter sales account base tremendously and capture many more new customers yearly

     

  • Expands on past charter client business and capture many more opportunities from these accounts

     

  • Expands on past MICE client business and engages with the Int’l Office and International Representatives (IR) capture many more opportunities from these accounts

     

  • Establishes excellent business relationships with travel agencies, incentive houses and direct clients.

     

  • Establishes effective working relationships with the CSS team who will processes all MICE quotes, secures meeting space and issues group contracts.

     

  • Establishes effective working relationships with the ships and all shoreside supporting departments.

     

  • Collaborates with the Sales department to maximize business opportunities while protecting company interests.

     

  • Works hand in hand with deployment and revenue for efficient and profitable charter pricing and itineraries

     

  • Continuously seeks out new opportunities to meet client needs while maximizing the business relationship

     

  • Maintains all records and correspondence for all charters in the Siebel system

     

  • Manages multiple non-standard situations simultaneously and independently.

     

  • Monitors competitive cruise line policies/pricing in order to be the expert in the International MICE and charter sales arena

     

  • Works closely with Charter Operations Account Executives coordinating efficient team work and hand-off opportunities

     

  • Builds and maintains relationships with charter decision makers throughout our International Office and IR network.

     

  • Works with International Charter Sales AE to  develop training material for all field sales and distribution channels.

     

  • Manages marketing material including sales campaigns and promotions for International MICE and Charters Sales

     

  • Participates as needed in tradeshows, seminars, business meetings and presentations to support International MICE and full ship charter sales.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years outside Sales experience recommended. Previous cruise line or travel industry experience preferred.

  • Past experience in sales/operations involving charters is highly recommended

     

  • Must be able to travel and reside in Miami area (work from corporate hq).

     

  • MBA degree strongly preferred.

  • Must be able to travel 50% - 75% of the time.

  • Strategic and analytical sales acumen required
  • Entrepreneurial and self-motivating to close new and existing business
  • Proven success and skill in negotiating and closing business with top producing accounts must be demonstrated.  Both direct and through distribution sales required
  • Established success and advanced proficiency in the core competencies.
  • Ability to use advanced business and sales knowledge to make decisions, use sound judgment, negotiate effectively and get results.
  • Ability to use multiple communication and interaction methods to collaborate effectively, get results with others and develop customer champions.
  • Ability to display the highest level of personal integrity, take responsibility for personal and organizational results, and proactively develop greater ability. Absolute follow-up skills are essential, strong positive attitude, excellent level of communication and energy are also required.
  • Spanish language skills are ideal
