Position Summary:

The Manager, Hotel & Tourism Strategy will be instrumental in driving hotel & tourism strategy transformation for the Celebrity brand, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to drive change across the organization that will significantly improve the pre/post cruise vacation experience.

In this role, you will lead a cross functional effort to develop strategy for Business-to-Business and Business-to-Consumer.  Additionally, the Manager, Hotel & Tourism Strategy will work closely with internal partners in Sales, Marketing, Revenue, Shorex, Deployment, and Corporate Travel and will work to curate high level partnerships, product development and negotiations with external partners such as hotels and tourism boards at port cities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Drive hotel & tourism strategy transformation for the brand, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to drive change across the organization that will significantly improve the pre/post cruise vacation experience.
  • Ensure strategic initiatives are focused on securing and providing the best possible guest experience while also having a meaningful impact on bottom-line growth.  
  • Develop relationships with tourism boards and hotels within home port cities.
  • Work with tourism boards to secure co-op marketing dollars and partner in a way that improves brand financial performance, creates authentic local experiences for guests, and supports the local economy. 
  • Evolve the hotel & tourism strategy to include experimentation, KPI management, and strategic planning to accomplish brand objective.
  • Develop digital strategies, work with the web, eCommerce and consumer outreach teams, and develop initiatives to drive demand through trade partners.
  • Drive change management both within and outside of the organization with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Accountable for execution of ideas and recommendations that will involve changes to operating practices.

 

 

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required and MBA preferred; five to eight years of business analytics or consulting experience. 
  • Must exhibit the ability to influence senior leadership and drive necessary collaboration with all stakeholders who will execute the strategy. Will require creativity, initiative, strong entrepreneurial drive, and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
  • Strategic thinking and analytical skills, with proven ability to digest and synthesize large amounts of data and information into executive-level reports and documents.
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects. Proven track record of collaborating effectively with all levels and functions in an organization.
  • Pro-active and consultative approach focused on problem solving.
  • Strong financial acumen with analytical/quantitative skills, familiarity with one or more statistical/analytical tools and ROI models.
  • Project management and facilitation skills required. Change management skills.
  • Fast learner and able to link diverse sources of information to the business, including ability to handle confidential information and materials with appropriate discretion.
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to handle multiple projects.
  • Takes initiative and is flexible to change.
  • Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word required, inclusive of financial modeling.
  • Proficiency with statistical / analytical tools such as Hyperion Studio (formerly BRIO) as well as Essbase are required. Any proficiency with SAS, and R as plus.
  • Exposure to cruise industry and prior cruise experience a plus.
  • Familiarity with co-op marketing helpful.
