Job Description

The manager of the business performance is core to the Product Development department since they are responsible for ensuring the entire department is well-informed of overall business performance. In addition, this role is required to provide guidance on focus venues, ships, destinations and recommendations of opportunities for improvement.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Connects corporation's performance through Revenue, Marketing, Operations and Guest satisfaction data to educate and surface insights for product improvements.
  • Build strong business acumen across commercial and operational arms of the company and connect these to communicate a simplified story to our department.
  • Perform and manage in depth analytics that may require extreme data crunching and connecting performance across various data sets throughout the company to answer strategic business questions.
  • Analytical driver in concept optimization programs, fleet wide initiatives (e.g. Video Analytics) & organizational wide initiatives.
  • Identify and explore new data sources to enhance Product Development's ability to make data driven decisions.
  • Manage Product Development Performance meetings by partnering with teams, to create and share new analyses, updates and opportunities that enrich the knowledge of the department.
  • Maintain relationship with Revenue Management and Marketing to remain current with overall business performance.

Job Requirements


  • Four-year Bachelor's or equivalent required; MBA preferred; or five to eight years related business analysis experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Candidate must possess strong written and oral communication skills and be able to work effectively with all levels of personnel.  Strong PC skills are required.


Knowledge & Skills:

  • Advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required.
  • Analytical: Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and opportunities of alternative solutions and conclusions.
  • Complex Problem Solving: Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and options and implement solutions.
  • Essbase and Hyperion preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of the cruise industry preferred.
  • Presentation: Using computer skills and communication style to create, manipulate, edit and communicate slide presentations. Understanding end-state and the best way to present a story in a logical and analytical fashion to achieve desired results.
  • Active Listening: Giving full attention to what other people are communicating and taking time to understand points being made.
  • Project Management: Collaborate with various teams to align and influence strategic decision-making among Brand leadership.
