Job Description


The incumbent will work with the commodity / procurement managers to ensure that the terms and conditions of contracts are in line with Logistics¿ service delivery standards.  They are responsible for ensuring that supplier, carrier and warehouse are all performing at the level of delivery standards that have been negotiated or required by the customer for all services including expedited or emergency orders / service.    ________________________________________


 Prepares and provides statistical data for contract negotiations and participating in negotiations
 Evaluates existing capabilities and establish new systems and processes for the tracking, measurement, reporting, and analysis of logistics services.
 Analyze and determine course of action for resolution of non-conformance identified in delivery reporting.  This may  include providing direction to supplier, carrier, or warehouse for immediate action to ensure on-time delivery of goods and services
 Asses degree of supplier or logistics provider non-conformance and develop course of action for immediate delivery to customer.  Work with Commodity Manager /  Procurement Management to determine financial impact of contract violation, carrier delay or warehouse operational issue. 
Provides analysis of financial / operational impact during contract negotiations to Procurement Manager and Commodity Manager.
 Responsible for auditing suppliers and identifying areas of improvement. 
 Analyze and prepare reports on Logistics performance measures. Ensure reliability, integrity and accuracy of data
 Ensure logistics SQM policies are up to date by collaborating with all logistic managers.
Track logistics trends and provide recommendations and implement changes based on this information.


Job Requirements


 Bachelors degree or equivalent required.  
 3+ yrs. related financial analysis or procurement experience preferred.

Working knowledge of accounting programs such as JD Edwards, and purchasing /inventory programs such as AMOS.
Basic knowledge of logistics cargo procedures, and international and domestic customs procedures preferred
 Basic knowledge of purchasing concepts, practices and procedures.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment with multiple projects and priorities.
 Advanced analytical skills.  Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages. 
 Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate in a multicultural environment with all levels of employees and management.
 Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel. 
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. 
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of executive, managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
