Position Summary:

Responsible for defining, executing and continuously optimizing a premier and engaging global eCommerce experience for guests on distribution platforms across Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, United Kingdom, Ireland, Norway, Sweden, and other international markets. This individual will develop and create the web strategy, experiences and promotions for Celebrity Cruises Global websites. The overall goal for this position is to manage the development, implementation and marketing of a global digital online strategy that increases awareness, interest and purchase of guests cruise products through the web.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Leads the day-to-day global eCommerce track on promotions, strategy, optimization, design, development and execution of projects for all consumer GDP digital sites.
  • Executes against global strategic digital marketing initiatives to increase cruise, PCP and air sales across GDP digital platforms
  • Collaborates with internal and external partners to develop strategies and tactics that engage consumers and increase global markets cruise, pre-cruise, and air booking of products.
  • Develops strategic and tactical guest online promotions, advertising and campaigns with in-depth understanding of online optimization, creative, media, trafficking and campaign measurement.
  • Provides clear direction on content management and ensures accuracy of GDP web sites and on-line marketing programs
  • Leads day-to-day business relationships with global markets teams, online partners and other suppliers and vendors to ensure the delivery of high-quality digital marketing programs
  • Partners with Information Technology to plan and support web requirements and execute website development, digital advertising and on-line marketing programs
  • Partners with key revenue partners to develop integration into our cruise planner system to generate sales
  • Assists in defining and evaluating success metrics for all programs
  • Key member in developing and implement e commerce plans, including promotional programs, new product introductions and other marketing projects
  • Establish and grow global target market share
  • Lead Generation and Digital Campaigns for global platforms oversight
  • Conduct customer, brand and product research initiatives for markets
  • Offer expert advice to develop innovative optimizations, advertising, promotions and content
  • Work with information technology, revenue management, operations and sales teams on brand initiatives
  • Manage agency providers, consultants, freelancers and other suppliers, including contract negotiation and management


Job Requirements


  • Bachelor degree from a 4 year college
  • 3+ years working on eCommerce strategies, digital assignments for web site, online program development and online marketing
  • 3+ years of experience in web merchandising, retail and online promotions required
  • Experience in all stages of user-centric website strategy from planning to execution, including post-implementation analysis and recommendations.
  • Strong management, leadership and collaborative experience with internal and external clients
  • In-depth understanding of technology and functionality required to enable seamless digital experience across multiple GDP platforms
  • Experience working with internal or external global teams, online technical and marketing partners, research, tracking and performance suppliers
  • Advanced understanding of web site and on-line marketing program performance and reporting
  • Travel industry online marketing experience preferred
  • Good understanding of marketing and PR principles
  • Demonstrable ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English. Bilingual Spanish is a plus.
  • Knowledgeable of market research techniques and databases
  • Possess excellent knowledge of MS Office, marketing computer software and online applications (Optimization tools, Online analytics, Google AdWords etc.)
  • Must be an excellent communicator, must work effectively in a global team environment and work independently.
  • Must be well-organized with a customer-oriented approach
  • Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
