Position Summary

Ability to manage fleet's F&B Equipment; from selection, how it's used, cleaned and maintained and building systems to support ensuring consistency. Position is involved in improving current repair process and repair tracking and invoice approvals. This role is pivotal for managing all aspects of specs, maintenance records, how equipment is used, how placed into current and new designs, PM programs, USPH compliance, maintaining proper SOPs, developing chemical standards and training programs


  • Work closely with Marine team, procurement, product innovation and operation team and maintain consistent high standard for system wide delivery of equipment and kitchen layout standards.
  • Managing the equipment budget for repairs and new purchase budget for the fleet.
  • Establish and maintain a proactive safety, health and environmental that meets required standards
  • Develop cleaning procedures and standards as well as promote standardization of equipment (cooking and use)
  • Partners with onboard teams to understand reoccurring themes for equipment failures
  • Develop ways to better manage critical spare parts lists
  • Analyze equipment and operating data to compare with original design parameters
  • Supports day-to-day fleet requests and support for F&B equipment
  • Assist with dry-dock, new build and new restaurant equipment selection to include design recommendations
  • Develops & implements long-term strategies, goals and plans to maintain F&B equipment and costs
  • Develops & manages condition reviews & processes for all F&B equipment
  • Assists and provides financial forecast needs for immediate and annual needs including ad-hoc analysis
  • Works closely with the New build dept for equipment selection for dry docks or launch of new vessels
  • Lead continuous improvements initiatives for equipment maintenance, training and proper use
  • Maintain accurate data files for all fleet Equipment including fleet inventory par levels and life-cycle
  • Develop ways to better determine whether a piece of equipment should be repaired or replaced
  • Leads projects, defines processes, tracks and reports all data required to make recommendations through project implementation
  • Work with management teams to ensure Equipment are washed and handled properly with a minimum repairs
  • Develops solutions and/or create defined process, design, or systems to better manage equipment.
  • Conduct field visits to evaluate new or improved equipment implementation.
  • Plans effectively and multi-tasks. Utilize time management and organization skills to achieve aggressive deadlines; sets priorities and maintains organizational and filling systems
  • Supports new build and modernization projects related to Equipment and small galley equipment
  • Maintains and develops relationships with shore-side, shipboard and island functional teams on all matters pertaining to equipment and develops best practices to maintain equipment properly
  • Attends meetings, training activities, courses and all other work-related activities as required
  • Manages equipment budgets and accurate inventory levels by having physical inventories performed on an annual basis
  • Authority to make recommendations, lead change efforts, and lead projects on product and procedure development, while remaining within the guidelines of the departments


Job Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business administration, or related field from an accredited college or university, or international equivalent preferred.
  • Experienced with marine equipment preferred or with minimum of 3 years¿ experience in related position
  • Knowledge of Galley, Bar and Small Loose Kitchen equipment
  • Shipboard or interworking similar experience preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities. Superior verbal and written communications skills.
  • Exposure to international environments preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Project or equivalent, PowerPoint, AMOS, Crunchtime, Advance user of Excel
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate in a multicultural environment with all levels of employees and management. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and priorities.
  • Bold thinker with ability to generate creative, actionable recommendations to increase revenue, reduce costs and/or improve operational performance, efficiencies and excellence.
  • Ability to analyze complex data, draw conclusions, develop appropriate action plans and execute them. Ability to grasp complex concepts quickly and independently.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills to identify & interpret trends and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Ability to solve complex problems with a variety of variables in situations where no standardization exists.
  • Ability to read a CAD drawings preferred
