Job Description

Position Summary:

 

Royal Caribbean International is seeking a Lead, Consumer Insights & Brand Strategy to work within the Consumer Insights team and oversee the day to day project management, analysis, and reporting of brand health for Royal Caribbean International. This person will lead our long standing brand health tracking program, provide support of core brand research, and codify best in class approaches for global reapplication.  This individual must be able to mine, analyze and story tell with data, juggle multiple tasks at the same time, as well as be detail oriented in project management. In essence, the Lead Consumer Insights & Brand Strategy will serve as the internal expert on Brand Health within the Consumer Insights team and the broader marketing organization.

 

The Lead, Consumer Insights will report to the Director, Consumer Insights.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  1. Serve as the internal champion of Brand Equity Research Program, developing and supporting brand diagnostic/predictive models to provide actionable guidance that will inform marketing communications and brand development strategies.
  2. Act as the primary point of contact on brand health, defining the strategy, agenda and priorities for Tracking, Drivers & Barriers to deliver consumer and market insight. Advise global marketing teams on measures and metrics application, interpretation and analysis approaches.
  3. Integrate brand equity research into a full research/consumer understanding, establishing a cadence of ongoing reporting of insights, incorporating inputs from other syndicated sources, custom research, media investments and digital/social tracking elements
  4. Shapes future direction of brand health tracking and custom brand research by develop new analysis approaches, interpretation and correct application of measures and metrics across the insights function. Management of overall analysis framework development and ensuring actionable insight delivery.
  5. Responsible for relationship with market research vendor, project management, and ongoing execution of research.
  6. Support insights team with custom surveys, end-to-end to ensure quality data collection and analysis, checking data in-flight and post-field, and monitoring the reporting tool/ dashboards.
  7. In all cases, take responsibility for creating deliverables of high quality.

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience working in market research/consulting/consumer insights fields
  • Experience understanding market research analysis tools and techniques
  • Experience in managing relationships with internal and external suppliers and partners
  • Experience in continuous and custom research (Qualitative & Quantitative)
  • Brand Equity Tracking experience required
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Technical experience with SPSS, Survey Reporter, Advanced Analytics
  • Large scale project and change management experience, with strength in organization and detail oriented
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (internal and external)
  • 5+ years of experience working in market research/consulting/consumer insights fields
  • Experience understanding market research analysis tools and techniques
