Position Summary

This position is responsible for leading internal brand communications, building out a program to connect ship, shore, sales and call center employees to the latest happenings within the brand, including its people. This position will work closely with the AVP to build the program, define its mission and goals, identify and create tools to communicate, and re-think storytelling internally.

    • Build a robust and meaningful employee engagement platform with storytelling at its core, that reaches all Royal employees (ship, shore, corporate, sales, call center). The goal is to make everyone feel informed, empowered and proud about what is happening at the company.
    • Seeks out and puts a spotlight on the teams and people behind the great work we do – no matter where it happens.
    • Works across the PR, Social Media and Brand Marketing teams to pull in resources and content for distribution across internal channels.
    • Creates fun, innovative and relevant content, in a variety of different forms (video, long form, short form, social, interactive, comedy), that keeps employees engaged and coming back for more.
    • Develops new tools and channels for which to communicate and engage with employees.
    • Redefines the company all-hands, transforming into a global event that brings Royal employees together and informs, and that can be viewed live or across a variety of channels on demand.
    • Works closely with marketing to plan and execute campus takeovers and creative ideas around ship inaugurals, new destinations, and other exciting company product news.
    • Plans executive visits to ships, international offices and call centers to do town halls and engage with the local teams.
    • Works closely with Hotel Operations 

 

Job Requirements

Requirements

    • 8+ years of relevant internal/employee or traditional public relations experience; agency or in-house or both
    • Experience working with top executives on media training, messaging and platform development; executive communications experience preferred
    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Communications or English preferred
    • Strong writer and storyteller with a creative mind. 

    • Ability to collaborate across teams and streamline communications

    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including ability to adapt to brand tone online

    • Experience and in-depth knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite preferred.

    • Accuracy, attention to detail, flexibility, and ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

    • Understands the latest tools for communicating internally with employees.

    • A reporter at heart, with the ability to seek out stories.
