Position Summary:
The Key Account Manager, Norway (KAM) will play an important role in our trade sales strategy in Norway to secure the highest market share within our Key Trade Accounts.

  • Create yearly and quarterly Sales & Marketing Plans by trade partner according to designated sales targets and budgets. This includes ownership and participation in negotiations with the Norwegian partners.
  • Secure the sales targets for the assigned territory and portfolio of accounts and the efficient use of budgets available.
  • Plan, budget and coordinate designated Co-op budget for the area each calendar year to secure maximum effect for Royal Caribbean in the Norwegian market.
  • Overall responsibility to plan and carry out activities at different levels, presentations, physical visits, video conference calls, workshops, Seminar at Sea, Cruise nights etc. towards their clients.
  • Produce and update a yearly Sales Activity plan for Norwegian key accounts.
  • Plan, participate and represent Royal Caribbean International in various travel industry functions, workshops, public shows and cruise nights in the Norwegian market.
  • Initiate, develop and follow up sales and promotional activities, agreements and opportunities in the designated territory towards and in cooperation with travel and other potential partners.
  • Conduct regular sales calls to travel partners in the designated area to promote Royal Caribbean International cruises, both by personal visits, video conferences and telemarketing.
  • Plan and carry out travel partner training activities at different levels, such as staff presentations, automation training, workshops, Seminar at Seas and other training opportunities.
  • Monitor and closely follow-up ongoing joint efforts and activities with travel trade and other partners.
  • Participates in special projects and assignments given by Senior Management.


Job Requirements

Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills:

  • Bachelor – sales and Marketing or equivalent
  • 3-5 years’ experience within a similar role
  • Experience within the cruise / travel industry would be advantageous
  • Large matrix organisation experience helpful
  • Background in travel desirable
