Position Summary:
This role offers a 12 month fixed term contract offering an immediate start. It plays a key part in the regulatory reporting, compliance, and statutory responsibilities for RCL Cruises Ltd and other UK legal entities as part of the EMEA Accounting functions. It will require close interaction with the EMEA Business, Global Tax, International Accounting and external audit teams to ensure compliance requirements set out by HMRC and other external regulatory bodies.

It will suit a someone with experience in the preparation and collation of information to prepare financial statements (UK GAAP, specifically FRS102) acquired in a large international setting. Ideally you will be qualified, but will consider part qualified accountants with relevant backgrounds. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for key balance sheet reconciliations and working with the business to ensure that the accounting output reflects the business reality.
• Support in the production of audit packs and supporting a smooth-running audit process for interim, group, statutory and other regulatory audits. This requires pro-active planning and liaison with external auditors and a number of internal departments.
• Support in the production of draft statutory financial statements for RCL Cruises Ltd and all UK legal entities. Key tasks include:

1. Producing a number of ETB’s from the company accounting system
2. Multi-currency Intercompany Balance reconciliations
3. Fixed Asset workings
4. FX Analysis
5. Goodwill and other intangible asset calculations
6. Producing a schedule of investments
7. Lease commitments including US to UK GAAP Conversion
8. Dilapidation provisions

• Support in production of financial statements for various overseas markets, to include Norway, Sweden and New Zealand.

• Responsible for the reporting requirements of trade memberships and bonding bodies within EMEA are met (e.g. Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), Association of British Travel Agents (ABTA), Commission for Aviation Regulation (CAR)
