Position Summary:

In this role, you will be responsible for the Enterprise Data Analytics team at Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines and are responsible on leading teams that engage with the business to deliver data assets that power our company’s growth. This is a highly visible and strategic role where you will have stakeholders across the business.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Lead BI engineering team and community of practice
  • Establishes an enterprise-wide information model and Data Services and technology roadmap that maximizes logical data access, accuracy, consistency, and adherence to standards while minimizing data duplication.
  • Secure buy-in from stakeholders (e.g., business, IT, leadership, finance, shared services)
  • Create efficient data access and enhance the user experience of business intelligence solutions
  • Manage inventory of business intelligence assets to reflect evolving organizational needs
  • Develop talent for the organization
  • Develop and monitor measurement strategy to assess efficiency of BI platforms
  • Implement a continuous improvement culture in team, leading to effective problem solving and value creation for the organization
  • Champion advanced utilization of business intelligence technology across functional roles throughout the organization
  • Contribute and/or own the development of strategic vision and roadmaps for BI solutions
  • Manage relationships with stakeholders, internal and external partners.


Job Requirements


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems/Computer Science or related field required
  • Master’s Degree is strongly preferred
  • Minimum 10 years technology leadership
  • Minimum 10 years people leadership with at least 3 years of mid-level management (managing managers)
  • Familiarity with traditional and emerging database technologies including data visualization tools, cloud technologies, machine learning and artificial intelligence.
  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, etc..
  • Experience in developing BI and Data Engineering CoEs and communities of practice
