Job Description


The HTML Email Developer will code, produce, proof, test and troubleshoot effective HTML email blasts that adhere to email marketing compliance standards. They will work alongside the creative team, senior designers, and programmers to produce industry-leading digital products and promotions in a fast-paced environment.

While an eye for design is critical, this position is mostly focused on coding, development and testing of HTML emails. The HTML Email Developer should have both technical and creative aptitude, an interest in the big picture of campaigns and tactics, and a demonstrated passion for marketing.

- Responsible for the creation of emails, including, but not limited to, html development, testing, and quality control.

- Develop a high volume of HTML code for email marketing campaigns in Royal Caribbean’s ESP (Salesforce).

- Work closely with Graphic Designers on template redesign initiatives and ensure they are in line with Royal Caribbean’s brand guidelines.

- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, tools and design technology to propose and execute innovative, creative digital ideas.

- Responsible for meeting deadlines of the various projects assigned and for maintaining clear communication with the team.

- Manage multiple project timelines in a fast-paced environment.

- Help maintain current and create new WordPress websites.

Job Requirements


- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience

- 4-5 years HTML email coding experience in a fast-paced high volume environment

- Minimum 2 years’ experience working with an ESP or marketing automation tool, such as Salesforce

- Knowledge of email design, mobile design & coding best practices

- Demonstrated proficiency with HTML and CSS

- Experience in A/B testing and email testing and preview tools

- Proven ability in creating designs for emails, web banner and other digital marketing collateral

- Strong Adobe CS skills (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)

- Capacity to multitask and work in a fast paced team environment

- Proven experience turning into campaign requirements and marketing assets into effective visual code.

- Excellent time management/project management skills

- Written and verbal communication skills

- Excellent customer service skills

- Collaboration skills

- He/she must also be creative, Detail-oriented, Highly organized

- Hunger to learn continuing developments in the field.
