Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Creative Project Manager is responsible for directing the workflow and coordinating the creative development of projects and campaigns submitted to the in-house team, including concepting and design of print collateral, digital content, web, product branding, video and events. They proactively plan, create and manage all daily production deadlines under the supervision of the Creative Operations Manager, ensuring that all assets are delivered to the desired quality, specifications, budget and timing outlined by the Marketing and Sales teams. The Creative Project Manager will work closely with the creative team, executive leadership, and account teams within Marketing and Sales, to ensure all campaigns meet expectations and hit on the set forth KPIs.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work directly with Marketing and Sales account teams to understand project request, gather requirements, define objectives, deliverables and delivery dates, plan resources (both internal and external freelancers) and develop a clear and actionable project plan
  • Efficiently and effectively manage day-to-day projects and address any roadblocks encountered in difficult and time sensitive situations. Facilitate meetings, and ensure the team receives clear direction throughout the project
  • Deliver creative projects to Marketing and Sales teams while ensuring they’re error free, on time, on or under budget, and meet or exceed creative objectives and expectations
  • Work with Sales and Marketing specialists to understand project objectives and assist them in meeting their goals
  • Possess knowledge of quality assurance methodologies and ownership/management of our QA processes
  • Assist in scoping project requests, determine needed resources and coordinate work assignments to creative teams
  • Day-to-day point-of-contact for all project related tasks, proactively setting and managing account teams’ expectations on an ongoing basis throughout a project
  • Build strong working relationships with internal and account team members, establishing a role as a trusted resource and advisor
  • Learn and understand your respective account teams’ business area and partner with them to achieve their KPIs
  • Keep Creative Operation Manager informed of day-to-day priorities and any issues
  • Proactively keep account teams abreast of issues and seek clarification on any conflicting priorities
  • Evaluate and update internal Project Management tool to reflect shifting workload and initiatives

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising or related field experience
  • Experience with print/media/digital required
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a fast-paced traditional agency or in-house environment managing multiple creative projects simultaneously, with a proven ability to use analytical, innovative and critical thinking to deliver major projects on time and on budget
  • Experience working with Filemaker Pro or other project management tools
  • Must possess excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple assignments and responsibilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Basic knowledge of Creative Suite a plus
  • Able to provide recommendations for streamlining processes and systems based on previous experience.
