Job Description


Responsible for writing, editing, and testing interactive copy for websites, social media sites, blogs, mobile websites, mobile apps, and online banners, as well as other jobs outside the digital area.

All copy must capture the essence of the brand voice, be engaging, follow SEO guidance, and be completed by required deadlines. This role is responsible to develop digital media experiences that engage the reader and exceed company goals. The Digital Copywriter will work closely with Marketing Account Executives, Information Architects, UX Strategists and Designers, Graphic Designers, and SEO and Content Managers for project completion.


-Writes, edits, performs QA, and manages online, interactive copy to carry out the Celebrity Cruises creative vision and mission through adherence to brand guidelines.
-Administers best practices for online media and site consistency in all work.
-Writes compelling and informative copy, optimized for the web channel to ensure higher ratings in search engines, improved conversion rates, accessibility, and consumer usability.
-Writes strong, retail ad copy as well as dynamic creative ad copy for the brand's digital channels.
-Communicates with team leads to coordinate concept, copy, interface, graphic design, status, and navigational structure of project.
-Manages, regularly updates, and archives copy decks for entire consumer-facing website.
-Researches and writes copy for destination messaging.
-Organizes and facilitates copy for complex, segmented projects, including post-purchase email journey.
-Utilizes expertise in writing for social media as an engaging marketing tool.
-Facilitates timely release of creative assets to AEs, Project Manager, and/or Content Managers.
-Supervises copy direction and offers support to partner communication teams (agencies and freelance writers).
-Collaborates with AE to liaise with Legal to ensure all copy adheres to laws governing registered and trademarked symbols, country of origin, sweepstakes, consumer privacy, etc.

Job Requirements


-Minimum of BA in English, Journalism, Advertising, Marketing, or related field. Certification or training in multimedia creative applications as well as extensive knowledge of SEO and online best practices.
-Minimum 5 years digital writing experience in advertising or related field across all digital media channels.
-Excellent research, copywriting, editing, proofreading, and project coordination skills.
-Command of English language, including grammar, spelling, syntax, and punctuation.
-Knowledge of online marketing best practices.
-Meticulous attention to detail while adhering to tight deadlines.
-Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
-Software experience in Mac applications, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint/Keynote, Adobe Creative Suite. Basic HTML knowledge a plus.
