We are looking for a talented individual that supports our Continuous Improvement program focusing on our Cruise Ship Design Processes. Our Design Operations team is driving all design decisions, manages our architectural and design partners to innovative products being delivered in our Ship Newbuilding Program and our Fleet Modernization Program.

Reporting to the Director of Design Operations (with a dotted line to our Business Excellence team), the Continuous Improvement Analyst identifies process improvement opportunities, creates and maintains a backlog of initiatives and drives continuous improvement workshops and analytics.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Drive the development of process workflows, documents and templates across the Design team while supporting digitalization efforts
  • Organization, moderation and documentation of internal and external design process related workshops
  • Identify commonalities and outline the diversity of the design process comparing the Newbuilding Program and the Fleet Modernization Program
  • Assist with execution of Design Process changes with a robust Change Management plan
  • Partner with our Business Excellence team to ideate, deploy and evaluate improvement initiatives to drive business goals, efficiency, and strategies in our ship design processes
  • Advise Design Operations on alternate methods of solving need or problem and recommend specific solutions
  • Apply analytical techniques on current design processes to identify and prioritize improvement opportunities, generally design quality improvement, cost reduction or revenue increase and enhance delivery services
  • Monitor strategic and operational Key Performance Indicators to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Collaborate with counterparts in other business areas to pilot initiatives, drive project progress and assist train-the-trainer efforts
  • Cultivate a comprehensive understanding of our design processes across the Program and Project stakeholders
  • Collaborate with team members to pioneer and drive a culture of learning and development cross-functionally
  • Support knowledge sharing as well as identify process benchmarks within and outside the cruise and building industry
  • Interface with senior leadership and executives by providing process-related analytics and advice

Job Requirements


  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent field
  • Minimum 1-3 years of related work experience
  • Basic project management experience

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ability to extract complex, detailed information in a workshop setting, and construct comprehensive process flow diagrams
  • Strong interpersonal skills and drive to take initiative
  • Strong analytical capabilities with a passion for providing innovative and impactful insights
  • Ability to facilitate groups of stakeholders to arrive at conclusions and recommendations
  • Strong emphasis on implementation, achieving measurable results
  • Analytical and structural skills
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Change Management skills
  • Working knowledge of personal computers within a Windows environment
  • Profound knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point; Microsoft Project preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate in a multicultural environment with all levels of employees and management
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and priorities


Language Skills

  • Solid written and verbal English communication skills are a must
  • Clear and precise communication at all levels of an organization essential
  • Ability to communicate effectively with various departments within the organization, both shipboard and shore side, audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, business periodicals, financial reports, legal documents and government regulations
  • Further language skills are a plus
