Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

Position is responsible for maximizing net revenue and margins from the casino database by promoting sailings to known casino guests.  This role is also responsible for partnering with VIP Program operations and the Club Royale rewards program to increase inbound customer contact.  This role supports the database marketing reinvestment strategy and analysis of Direct Mail and Email campaigns, and partners with Marketing, Consumer Outreach, and Revenue Mgmt to drive aggressive growth in casino bookings at the most profitable margins possible.  The success of this role will be measured by growth in Casino campaigns, bookings, and the associated Net Gaming Revenue.  This role will report to the Casino Database Marketing Lead.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supports all database marketing campaigns for the casino database, and analyzes the casino database for growth opportunities in both volume and margin
  • Delivers triggered communications to Club Royale Rewards Program members
  • Segment casino marketing database and determine offers for database marketing campaigns that maximize profitability of targeted player groups
  • Constantly develop tests to increase trip frequency and spend amongst past and potential guests
  • Develop database marketing promotions and special events in order to drive higher engagement and response rates from casino loyalty program
  • Delivers insightful and timely post-analysis of all campaigns
  • Create and maintain brand standards and work with internal and external agencies to develop creative for casino related collateral
  • Explore and analyze external sources to expand casino database
  • Partner with Shipboard Operations, IT, and Analytics to constantly improve quantity and quality of casino database
  • When appropriate, personally manage customer issues, escalations, and onboard responsibilities Perform other duties as required.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of two years’ experience with database marketing
  • Minimum of two years’ casino marketing experience
  • Front-of-house casino marketing experience a plus 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Expertise in database analytics and revenue optimization
  • Expertise in CRM, database marketing, customer contract strategy and loyalty marketing
  • Knowledge of the principles of casino mathematics, including the calculation of theoretical loss, is a plus
  • Expertise of the principles and processes for providing customer and personal services including needs assessment techniques, quality service standards, alternative delivery systems, and customer satisfaction evaluation techniques
  • Working knowledge of computers, Internet access, and the ability to navigate within a variety of software packages such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, database software or related programs.
  • Proficiency with business intelligence software/tools such as Power BI, SQL, or Hyperion. 
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and effective verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to read, write and present extensive and complicated procedures.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally and work flexible hours.

Work Environment:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of the job. The environment includes travel throughout the fleet, both domestic and international, working in a shipboard function. A high noise level is possible if visiting shipboard or offsite locations.
