The Analytics Director will design, execute and manage analytics and research that supports product development portfolio for the Royal Caribbean International brand. The role will be responsible for setting the strategic direction of both quantitative and qualitative programs that lead to high impact insights throughout the new product development lifecycle. The Director will be required to transform data into high impact stories, while leveraging deep competitive and consumer insights, to drive clarity, prioritize investments and enable decision making.

The Analytics Director will be responsible for growing a team of data scientists and analysts, the Director is required to lead other highly skilled professionals to deliver quality and impactful insights. The role is highly visible and will require a significant level of collaboration with key marketing, operational and other cross functional executives.

Expected to solve tough industry problems, the Analytics Director will need high levels of drive and will be entrusted to build superior insight capabilities that grow the brand profitably.

Furthermore, the role will serve as a subject matter expert and will be responsible for educating internal partners on the value of data driven decisions throughout all phases of development.


  • Serve as a strategic thought partner with peers in Marketing, Product, Finance, Digital and Operations in assigned area of responsibility to integrate and leverage strategies that drive results.
  • Use business knowledge and strategic thinking to direct the interpretation, use, and implications of consumer, marketplace, , competitive, operational, financial, project and environmental information to improve decisions and knowledge base for future strategic planning.
  • Craft effective stories, present findings and lead discussions that lead to a common understanding with partners and executives.
  • Lead large qualitative and quantitative research programs with a team of data scientists, analysts and other analytical constituents that identifies trends in the product and market.
  • Develop advanced analytical, research and facilitation techniques that build superior capabilities for the Royal brand.
  • Manage a team of internal / external professionals, and be responsible for establishing clear priorities, while managing expectations in a high pace environment.
  • Responsible for overseeing the results, timelines, deliverables and budget of high-profile programs.
  • Commitment to stay abreast of significant industry research, anticipate emerging trends and be the authority for insights in the product development domain.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the broader data community within the corporation.

Job Requirements


  • BS/BA degree in marketing, business, analytics or other relevant discipline related to the requirements of this position.
  • MBA or equivalent highly preferred.
  • 8+ years in advance analytical, consumer insights or research role, with a minimum of 4+ years leading, hiring and managing high caliber professionals.
  • Experience with a wide variety of research methodologies / analytic techniques and managing large research studies with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong communications, ability to present confidently to senior leadership and cross functionals.
  • Able to synthesize results into concise written findings, create presentations and communicate the strategic implications.
  • Experience in large scale innovative and creative research techniques (from design to delivery).
  • Proven track record in delivering game changing insights that enable ideation and innovation in new product development teams.
  • Skilled at facilitating working sessions and meetings, and skilled at moderating interviews and focus groups.
  • Self-motivated and able to work effectively in a fast-paced culture.
  • Strong analytical, creative and critical thinking skills
