Job Description

The function of the Program Analyst is to provide analytical and project management support to the Program Manager with various aspects of the Royal Brand New Build, Modernization programs for Hotel Operations. Consults with internal clients in various departments (shoreside and shipboard) to gather, analyze, and report data for recommended courses of action. 

Projects assigned are typically top priority, high profile, and multi-departmental initiatives for the organization and thus require continuous communication and interaction with the Program Manager.  Manage all aspects of project planning, tracking, and status reporting. 


Project Management:

  • Project coordination and support the development, tracking/monitoring and reporting of several small to medium size projects from inception to completion, ensuring on-time, on budget delivery of project outputs.
  • Develop and implement benchmark reports for Management; summarize trends and relationships through graphs, schedules, and memoranda.
  • Acting as project management¿s analytical advisor and support.
  • Supporting the project management through issue identification, analysis, and communication.
  • Tracking project progress against milestone plan, building simulations (projecting actual progress on the future).
  • Establishing and driving regular meetings between involved parties.
  • Administrates team meetings (attendees, agenda, and official minutes) and drafts communications of project status based on pre-defined templates.
  • Best practice definition and proactive sharing to others about new building projects and throughout the corporation.
  • Consults with client to ascertain and define need or problem to obtain data required for solution.
  • Develops processing methods and practices for communicating project status to extended teams and executive management.
  • Utilizes project management tools and techniques to develop and maintain project scope.
  • Coherently utilizes project management and continuous improvement methodologies to develop, lead, execute, and/or facilitate the assigned projects from beginning to end.
  • Organizes the communication of the project plan and status on a regular basis to project stakeholders and core team. Continues to re-establish goals and adjust work processes based on shifting priorities, new information, and changing expectations.
  • Develops, organizes, and/or participates in monthly presentations for senior executives and project sponsors. 
  • Remains current with industry trends, especially as related to contemporary project management and process improvement techniques as they impact project objectives.
  • Decision Analysis/Business Modeling
  • Applying an objective issue-analysis approach for project areas and subsystems tracking.
  • Identify opportunities to improve performance and efficiency through this analysis and other information.
  • Adapting the work approach according to changing project priorities.
  • Supports project teams in collection of quantitative/qualitative statistics, performs basic numerical analysis (financial, statistical.)
  • Conducts field analysis & recommends solutions, based on gathered insight, to include implementations of alternate methods and procedures or changes in processing methods and practices.
  • Performs vendor consultations/facilitations to monitor progress and ascertain and define any needs or problem areas and obtain solutions.
  • Provides consultative analyses of operational needs and performance to determine optimal working processes, procedures, and systems with a focus on operational innovation & efficiency.
  • Utilizes quantitative methodologies to model complex business problems and develop recommendations for improvements.
  • Analyzes alternatives through simulation models to support decision making processes. Performs economic feasibility analysis for alternatives being considered
  • Able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with little to no guidance.

Job Requirements


  • Bachelor degree or above with a concentration in Business Administration, Management Information Systems, or a closely related discipline (Management Science, Industrial Engineering).  Experience: 2-5 years of relevant work experience in business development, analytics, professional services, technology or finance.
  • Strong knowledge in the areas of continuous improvement, quality control, project management, finance and Operation Research.
  • Competency in computer systems and applications including MS Office, with an emphasis on the ability to access and manipulate data from a variety of sources.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical mindset and drive for solving complex challenges.
  • Excellent problem solving skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and understand technical systems.
  • Ability to develop new analytical approaches independently, to identify key issues, collect data, conduct data analytics and visualize data to create impact and support decision-making.
  • Ability to coherently define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and find pragmatic solutions to problems.  
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret contracts, financial reports, legal documents, and government regulations.
  •  Able to manage multiple small and large projects that run in tandem. 
  • Must possess a broad knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies that include Lean Systems, Six Sigma, or Operations Research.
  • Able to prioritize his / her work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  •  Able to analyze extensive and complex ranges of data, information, processes and, system solutions to produce effective and efficient business solutions.
  • Ability to respond to inquiries from other departments, customers, or members of the business community.
  •  Must possess advanced communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Clear and precise communication at all levels of the organization is essential.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to influence.
  • Able to clearly and effectively present information to top management, public groups, and internal / external teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, strength in communicating in a multicultural environment with all levels of employees and management.
  • Ability to give and receive instructions in written and verbal forms and to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, co-workers, customers, vendors, shoreside and shipboard employees.
  • Software: Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project required. Familiarity with email, internet applications and AutoCAD system essential.
