Position Summary: 
This position is primarily responsible for the onboard revenue forecasting and closing processes and providing financial analysis support to the Onboard Revenue operational team. Additional areas of focus include assisting in the development of analytical tools to help improve the forecasting process (e.g., excel models and data analytic dashboards) and financial tracking of all onboard revenue capital projects. The characteristics that will lead to success in this position are a strong work ethic, attention to detail, outstanding analytical skills, and business acumen. Effective communication to Management and the respective operational groups is also critical to the success of this position.   

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Collaborate with the Onboard Revenue operational team to produce accurate forecasts, record and analyze actual performance and identify plan of action to address variances.
  • Own the month-end closing process and ensure entries are calculated and recorded accurately. Work with Accounting to ensure financials are accurate and complete. 
  • Responsible for month-end and intra-month reporting of financial results to the operations team. 
  • Conduct revenue analyses including volume/rate relationships, variances vs. similar sailings, and identifying opportunities for revenue upside.
  • Constantly improve reporting process and analytics. 
  • Lead the development and implementation of benchmark reports for operating groups.
  • Coordinate all aspects of the capital request process for onboard revenue projects, including liaising with business partners to clarify and prioritize requests and optimize scopes.
  • Monitor approved capital projects to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Responsible for "special project" initiatives with senior management audiences.

 

Job Requirements

Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills: 

  • B.A in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
  • One to three years related financial or business analysis. Cruise or Hospitality experience preferred.  
  • Strong excel skills are required. Dashboard analytic experience a plus. 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and multitask  
  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to lead, facilitate and organize. 
  • Must be a self-starter, with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment. 
  • Must be detail oriented to ensure accuracy in analysis.
