POSITION SUMMARY:

Royal Caribbean is looking for an HR Operations Analyst in our Miami office.  This role supports all employees of the RCL brands (Azamara Club Cruises, Celebrity Cruises, Pullmantur and Royal Caribbean International) across the globe.

The focus of this job is to support the Sr. Manager and the Management team on strategic initiatives.  Analyst will be responsible for understanding Crew Logistics on a global scale and translating that knowledge into quantifiable and reportable metrics that can be used to improve operational and financial performance and meet Departmental targets.

In addition, Analyst will be expected to identify opportunities and recommend effective strategies and solutions to Management at all levels.  Ultimately, negotiating, contracting and managing vendors who provide these solutions to crew logistics.    These services include air, hotel, transportation, visas, immigration and other related matters.

Analyst will also be responsible for individual ad-hoc projects where they will partner with vendors and internal stakeholders to identify and implement new programs, tools, processes, etc. Specialist will assist to manage the budget and finances for these projects. Keep track of event finances including invoicing and reporting.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Function as a key integration point for Crew Logistics and translate your global knowledge of the Department into quantifiable and reportable metrics and analysis.
  2. Set effective KPI’s and targets that define and are predictive of success.
  3. Actively participate in annual planning process and routine forecasting of movements and CAM expenses.
  4. Develop key dashboards and models that allow operational owners the ability to monitor business levers and to track and manage their business on a routine basis.
  5. Coach stakeholders by providing insight and recommendations that drive operational and financial improvement.
  6. Analyze port conditions, visa regulations and budget to recommend the most cost-effective ports where crew movements should be scheduled; also travels to new projected ports to understand complexity, requirements and source for potential new vendors.
  7. Manage vendor performance by analyzing cost, process[es], efficiencies and quality surveys.
  8. Review vendor invoices, verifying services rendered to ensure correct charges, advising where deviations are identified. Identify areas of financial opportunities and propose solutions.
  9. Responsible for reporting and communicating any budget impact caused by unplanned travel, last minute request relating to hotel and or transportation.
  10. Manage vendor relationship with vendor all over the globe who provide Hotel, Transportation and visa services to our at sea employees.
  11. Ensures and validates all contract information is accurate in Travel Mart
  12. Assist with training of all vendors and various internal customers as needed.
  13. Performs special operational and analysis projects as requested. From these results, the Lead and Director makes changes to improve overall service and efficiency of operations.
  14. For new builds works with Operations and management to secure contracts for port operations including temporary housing, transportation, car rentals, visa services and immigration.
  15. Works with operations as well as the different departments involved in New Build throughout out the entire time of the build offering solutions and support with movement as well as invoicing and meeting financial targets related to hotel, transportation, temporary housing, visas and immigration services.
  16. Produces detailed operational plans for all ports, including crew departure procedures, boarding procedure, general information, immigration, and customs clearance. Lead in pre-planning operational set-up and financial planning for ports, prior to start of each itinerary, includes vendor and ship training.
  17. Conducts ship calls prior to port arrival to set expectations and process for port.
  18. Assist manages RFP and contract services for groups attending training, meetings and events. Responsible for all the event planning and coordination as well as, managing related expenses and invoices.
  19. Responsible for locating addition resources (i.e. rooms, transportation) when necessary for any unplanned movement. Report to lead and director any budget impact.
  20. Coordinates all planned turns with shore side and shipboard management to plan all turnaround operations, including all Dry dock, wet docs, revitalization, and /or handovers, group, and trainings.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • List the minimum level of education and experience required to perform the work at the entry level of the job.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Finance, or similar quantitative discipline preferred.
  • Previous experience in implementing system enhancements and decision-making tools preferred but not required
  • Minimum five years of experience working with port administration, hotel, transportation, and contract procurement, or at least four years experience managing maritime logistics
  • Must be bilingual, with fluency in English (Spanish, Portuguese or Chinese preferred); proficiency in additional languages preferred.
