Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for monitoring and ensuring all Strategic Air Fare Products fare filing and pricing related issues are dealt with quickly and effectively
  • Identify potential mistakes / errors in fare filing impacting fare rules, discounts, fare class and flown metal combinability, mark-up, CC merchant fees and other back-office charges working with airlines fares filing teams to ensure all issues are promptly corrected.
  • Partner with other team members, colleagues in other department and airline contacts to establish and standardize immunized policies and procedures to ensure pricing and filing errors are minimized.
  • Industry expert in air fare product, fare filing, pricing policies and procedures, such as fare construction, IATA Composite
  • Key player in the Air Strategy team and responsible for monitoring and ensuring all Strategic Air Fare Products fare filing and pricing related issues are dealt with quickly and effectively,
  • Oversee and ensure RRCL's Global Air Fare Products are online, working and delivering the added value and return on the elevated partnership expectations.
  • Convert testing findings to insights, into actionable items
  • Engage with Ticketing and Operations Team to assist them in delivering RCCL's contracted fare programs, minimizing fare-related errors and potential costs helping forecasting and quantifying impact of fare strategy decision
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders across RCCL brands to achieve optimal use of pricing tools/automation to drive efficiency.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in airline pricing and/or yield management or 2 years of experience in airline pricing and/or yield management with additional 5+ years in an analogous function within another industry
  • Proficiency with ATPCO fare filing functionality required
  • Advanced Knowledge and Experience with major GDSs required, Sabre required and proficiency in Amadeus preferred
  • Experience with fares management software such as Sabre AVFM or SITA Airfare Insight preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree required; major in Economics, Engineering, Finance, Mathematics, or Statistics preferred or equivalent EXPERIENCE


Knowledge and Skills:

  • Demonstrated analytical ability in prior role(s)
  • Awareness of current industry pricing environment, competitive landscape and recent trends
  • Refined interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; experience in Microsoft Access
  • Entrepreneurial attitude, willingness to take ownership and drive for results
  • Comfort working under general direction in an environment where there is not always a clear correct course of action
  • Skill in distilling relevant facts from large data sets
  • Ability to identify root causes and synthesize responses
  • Capacity to multitask and prioritize among several responsibilities
  • Active listening skills with a willingness to teach and provide constructive feedback
  • Sound judgment and ability to maintain composure under pressure
  • Capability of handling confidential material with discretion
