Job Description


The Energy Management department is looking for a Business Analyst to join our exciting and growing team. This Financial Analyst, Energy Management Strategy & Analysis candidate will be responsible for assisting with the fuel consumption / expense planning and forecasting for the entire corporation. Candidate will assist with financial month end closing duties and provide variance analysis related to volume and expense. This position will work directly with the Senior Analyst to follow up on the daily operations impacting energy consumption and expense.


  • Responsible for coordinating Fuel Consumption and Expense Planning more than $700 million with the Brands Finance Department
  • Monitor and track the Fleets Operational Variances
  • Develop and review Annual Fuel Consumption Plan - By Leg and Voyage
  • Monitor and review consistent alignment with Deployment department
  • Prepare and update ECA model, Strategic Deployment Model, Long Range Consumption Plan and Green House Gas Plan
  • Manage and Map Objectives / Deliverables for Fleet to Achieve 10% Improvement
  • Manage and Provide Key Analytical Support on Business Cases for the Company’s Long-Term AEP / Scrubber strategy.
  • Prepare presentations and communications for Management and Executive Committee
  • Collaborate with Chief Engineers and Captains regarding energy optimization projects and fuel planning initiatives


  • Must be well organized, pay close attention to detail, possess strong planning and time management skills and demonstrate the proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent critical thinking, verbal and written communications skills, with strong confidence in communicating with senior managers and executives
  • Highly motivated, curious, collaborative, and innovative
  • Ability to display data visually, creating powerful presentations which effectively quantify and justify value created to both analytical and non-analytical audiences

Job Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Finance / Accounting / Business or other highly analytical field from an accredited college or university is required.  Post graduate degree a plus.
  • 2+ years of experience within marine or travel industry is preferred
  • Hands on experience using a data visualization tool, such as Tableau, Power BI, or Hyperion
  • Proficient use of MS Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word)
