Job Description

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for the development of multiple Reports and coordinating any development tasks related to Amos and any other Tools used in the execution of work in the Asset Management Department.  Including iSupport Tickets and any other Data Management Tools. This position will work cross functionally with other departments of the organization both shipboard and shoreside for the execution of Asset Management objectives and goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 Develop code, appropriately employing object-oriented design methods and patterns. Solve problems of considerable scope and complexity.

 Support custom and open source systems and ensure code is designed to operate as expected.

 Use his/her ability to debug and research issues independently. As well as creating queries for data necessary for reporting

Resolution of Database Errors, Replication Errors in conjunction with the IT Technical Team.

 Develop queries and reports to support KPIs for iSupport and Amos.

 Processing of i-Support tickets and other AMOS data processes from internal customers across the fleet and other shoreside Departments.

 Processing and executing of data entry request and/or changes of maintainable equipment and spares from internal customers through standard registration processes in AMOS.

 Registration and management of free-text data from orders across the fleet.

 Resolution of Budget Accounts errors in conjunction with Supply Chain and Accounting.

Communicates with internal customers relating to AMOS Operations processes.

Addresses internal customers concerns and reinforces standard practices.

 Execution of standard report using Hyperion, Power BI and other data reporting tools

Application of data governance software designed to identify discrepancies in data and correct as applicable.

Works across departments to resolved Audit findings related to Amos.

 Reports to the Manager on the progress of any assigned tasks and responsibilities

 Provide guidance to new team members for the day to day performance of tasks.

 Ability to be designated with supervision duties when team leader is out of office.

 Work cross functionally with other divisions of Asset Management as required by organizational goals.

Job Requirements


Bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering or Computer Science/IT, from an accredited college or university or the international equivalent. Proven knowledge of AMOS or similar data management systems with good understanding on the information flow. At least 1 year of professional experience related to data processing and demonstrated good team-working skills. Shipboard AMOS experience is a plus due to the nature of the assignment and its specific content. Marine Engineering Industry Experience is also a plus.

Knowledge and Skills:
Experience with Database content and data manipulation tools. Working knowledge and experience with PC tools such as Sequel Server, MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, Windows. Ability to quickly learn data management tools and data governance principles as defined by the Asset Management Team.

Determine the necessary sequence of activities and the efficient level of resources required to achieve long term goals.

Problem solving & Analytical skills.
Evaluate a problematic situation and create a resolution based on planning and reasoning. Use logic, judgment, and data to drive decisions. Visualizes, articulates, and solves both complex and uncomplicated problems and concepts and make decisions that make sense based on all available information.

Soft skills:
Excellent communication skills, oral and written, possessing the ability to communicate clearly throughout the organization. Ability to apply keen attention to details in analysis and validation of data

Work Environment:

Includes 8 hour work shifts inside/outside of the office and travel domestic or international as required. Flexible work shifts required due to the nature of global operations.**************************************************************************************
