Revenue Strategy & Analytics Analyst

Who we are looking for: Seeking December 2019 and May 2020 graduating students.

Position Summary:

As an Analyst, Revenue Strategy and Analytics, you will assist the Revenue Strategy and Analytics team in Revenue Management in strategic initiatives, reporting on the status of the business, and development of trading meeting presentations. You will be responsible for understanding the business on a global scale and translating that into a long-term outlook on the brand and its future. You will have exposure to senior management and work closely with Sales, Marketing, Trade Support and Services and Reservations.

Responsibilities:

  • Run daily and weekly reporting on booking trends and the status of the business to the Revenue Management teams
  • Participate in the development of new reporting on business performance
  • Assist with development of new tools for Revenue Management teams to better manage the business
  • Help build business cases to support long-term financial impact of growth initiatives
  • Function as a liaison with Revenue Planning for communication of data needs
  • Monitors progress and micro and macro-economic trends to adjusting strategy based on results and changes in markets or the industry

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, and/or quantitative degree program or a Master’s degree.
  • Students graduating in December 2019 (available to begin February 2020) or May 2020 (available to begin in August 2020).
  • Must have authorization to work in the U.S. on a permanent and ongoing basis
  • GPA of 3.5 or higher
  • Proven leadership skills either in school or professional experience
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • High level of critical thinking
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to think strategically, while managing the details
  • Familiarization with revenue management concepts and tools preferred.
  • Previous experience with Sales, Business Analysis and Marketing preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management

To perform this position successfully, the individual should be a self starter and be able to complete a project with little direction. Furthermore, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty in a timely and accurate manor.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and or ability required to satisfy this position:

  • Demonstrated aptitude for problem solving and problem identification.
  • Ability to collect, analyze and interpret revenue performance data
  • Ability to logically structure quantitative analyses of complex issues
  • Proficiency in Excel, Brio Intelligence/Hyperion Studio, Word, and PowerPoint required and ability to manipulate data essential
  • Knowledge of reservations system and revenue management data preferred but not required
  • Attention to detail required
  • Willingness to accept immediate product and project responsibility
  • Ability to operate in a team environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated maturity
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities at once
