Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

Provides support to the Food and Beverage Procurement Team, focusing on Direct Sourcing from Manufactures. This position is responsible for analyzing purchases from Manufactures vs Distributors and capturing all rebates.  This position will also be responsible for special projects, preparing presentations, tracking of stock items., and performs complex data analysis.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for analysis of Procurement processes within the Supply Chain department, with a clear understanding of Purchasing Systems J Edwards & Crunch Time.
  • Analyze & track various Commodities, comparing Direct Manufacture Sourcing vs Distributors & calculating potential rebates.
  • Present spot by offers on core commodities such as butter, analyzing cost on Domestic vs Imported product and make recommendations to management.
  • Review Market calendar by region, ensuring time line is met, including Crunch Time market set up.
  • Collaborates with Fleet Services Lead/Manager on Ordering and Storing Schedules for vessels Globally, ensuring accuracy.
  • Acts as cross functional liaison, in conjunction with Procurement Manager within the department and with culinary & beverage Operations on various projects, such as new menus, new venues & Standard Item List. 
  • Performs operational support and/or analysis for an assigned area.
    Develops and prepares reports and records relating to particular assignments or projects.
  • Confers with other staff members in order to coordinate departmental efforts.Supports department procedures to ensure effective coordination between departments and/or the ships.
  • Participates in the development of product specifications, sourcing strategy, and product export procedures for the assigned area.
  • Participates with the division management which may include the Director or Manager, in fulfilling initiatives, goals and objectives which support the fleet through company policies and procedures.
  • Utilizes consumption trend & various Market/Commodity reports to generate a variety of reports, to support Procurement purchasing decision.
  • Attends industry specific trade shows and training as needed.
  • Performs related duties as required with or without accommodation.

 

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3 to 5 years’ experience implementing business process and systems improvements in a supply chain area of a hospitality or comparable industry.
    Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or Financial degree with emphasis on Business Processes or combination of education and relevant experience required.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Must have strong background in analysis of these areas with emphasis on implementing process improvement steps. 
  • Must be very familiar with various MRP software systems and how they function and have the ability to participate in conversion to new systems.
  • Must be proactive in areas of expertise including change management.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills and have the ability to gather information as well as to convey new concepts. Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate with all levels of employees and management.
  • Knowledge of personal computers within a Windows environment with e-mail, Microsoft Word and Power Point and related printers and equipment. Intermediate to advanced level of Excel.
