POSITION SUMMARY:
The Social Media Analyst will support the social media team by managing the day-to-day operations and execution of upper funnel paid social media campaigns. This person will also measure organic social media performance across all channels and provide insights and recommendations based on content performance. The social media analyst will collaborate with multiple internal and external teams such as the Social Content Team, Media Teams and agency partners to ensure optimal organic and paid performance across all social media channels. This person must have a deep understanding of key social metrics and experience dissecting and explaining data that translates to actionable items.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Manage upper funnel social media campaigns on social platforms including YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter and Snapchat working with external media agencies and marketing partners (PMDs) to execute and optimize campaigns for specific conversion-driving initiatives
  • Lead optimization strategy and reporting for specific upper funnel social-media campaigns, such as conversions, acquisition, purchases, follower growth and engagement.
  • Create daily content performance reports and provide actionable recommendations that result in reaching team¿s weekly and yearly goals.
  • Communicate the strategy to PMD and agency partners as well as the Social content team, as part of the process to continually optimize content and/or strategy
  • Develop paid social content calendars and communicate to internal and external partners to ensure plans are aligned and complimentary. Ensure that these calendars clearly communicate any relevant creative changes, creative or messaging tests, and optimal number of creative pieces. Strategic direction should run alongside organic social strategies and organic social content.
  • Participate in and be able to share a POV in discussions on content, tracking and targeting related to social media.
  • Recommend solutions based on understanding of social marketing (content), social media (paid media), our brand objectives and digital marketing best practices while drawing on the successes and failures of previous efforts across all networks.
  • Create and analyze all reporting for all organic and upper funnel paid social media campaigns. This could include reporting as often as daily, weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly.

Job Requirements


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree required preferably with a major in Marketing or Business Administration.
  • Minimum 2-3 years experience in social analytics and/or performance media planning/marketing.
  • Working knowledge of social content creation and analysis.
  • Experience working with various social media tracking technologies including listening and publishing platforms such as Crimson Hexagon, Brandwatch, Spredfast, Snapylytics and Curalate.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills; ability to troubleshoot. Well-organized, with firm follow-through skills.
  • Understand audience targeting techniques across digital platforms to improve targeting effectiveness.
  • Highly-motivated self-starter and tech savvy with a desire to expand their knowledge of social media strategies and tactics.
  • Experience working with creative teams on design and objectives of our digital media assets.
  • Capable of working successfully within a team as well as independently.
  • Able to establish and maintain effective relationships internally and externally.
  • Has demonstrated a strong attention to detail and accuracy in previous position(s).
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask, able to handle continual change, flexible and works well under deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. 
  • Displays a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
