We’re looking for an experienced digital strategist with a proven track record of advising and leading teams to digital sales and marketing success. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of strategy and execution skills at the enterprise level. This role requires the candidate have experience leading large teams through ideation, design and delivery of complex guest-facing products. 

As the Senior Manager, Digital Strategy, the successful candidate will contribute to a team that is hyper focused on strategic growth and continuous development of Celebrity Cruise’s digital commerce channel.  The role will be singularly focused on providing technical expertise and overall program leadership and decision-making for critical e-commerce initiatives that are global in scope and span across multiple operating companies and multiple strategic alliances and commercial agreements.

Based in Miami, FL and reporting to the Associate Vice President, Global eCommerce, the Sr. Manager, Digital Strategy will be responsible for intimately understanding online segments & customer journeys, identifying opportunities to remove friction, insert content, improve click through & conversion.  The leader in this role will align teams on vision & strategy, establish the necessary analytics, evaluate technical solutions and drive ideas to fruition. 
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding and solid history of evaluating & implementing package solutions, mobile first initiatives, customer journey optimization and converting new customers. 

The ideal candidate will also have an eye toward the rapidly evolving digital landscape and provide leadership over advanced and emerging concepts, such as the impact and role of artificial intelligence and the future state of the screen-less user experience, to help both educate leaders across the company, as well as inform our forward looking roadmap. S/he must be able to work with multiple product and project teams simultaneously, thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and connect unexpected threads across disparate delivery teams.  These skills should include the necessary knowledge to extend the use of these products at a global scale.

This leader requires the ability to direct teams that ideate and deliver high quality digital products for our guests, by both fostering and demonstrating a culture of data-driven and end-user focused product think, design and engineering and innovation.


- Aligns digital initiatives with strategic 2-3 year roadmap in collaboration with necessary stakeholders
- Contribute to business growth by leading strategic conversations that uncover new business opportunities and drive timely innovation
- Identifies, evaluates and leads external strategic partners
- Coaches, Mentors and Leads the digital journey and publishing team
- Maintains appropriate publishing SLAs with quality, ensuring content on the site remains relevant, easily consumable and SEO compliant
- Responsible for all aspects of personnel management (e.g., hiring, training and development, etc.) of the her/his direct reports and overall team
- Consumes & distributes relevant research which can be acted upon
- Extracts, manipulates, interprets and analyzes data using critical thinking and problem-solving to address portfolio gaps with an understanding of the existing portfolio and system capabilities; works to eliminate barriers to growth
- Prepares quality, engaging executive level presentations that results in decision making
- ROI analysis for strategic opportunities
- Intimately understands brand segments, online segments and online journeys to inform new opportunities to explore
- Remains abreast of emerging digital behaviors, technologies, and companies that are changing the digital landscape - both in the U.S. and across the globe
- Clearly articulate needed improvements based on sound analytics
- Lead strategy discussions with appropriate team members to inform prioritization and alignment
- Establish a partner evaluation process and regularly assess `out of the box- software as potential opportunities to increase business
- Establish the necessary analytics suites to uncover insights through qualitative or quantitative research
- Build an effectiveness framework that measures the performance of digital initiatives
- Perform competitive analysis and identify gaps and opportunities in the marketplace
- Attends conference as needed
- Infrequent travel to Manila may be required

Job Requirements


- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field. MS/BA preferred.

- 10+ years in digital strategy or digital product management leadership role

- 10+ years’ experience in leading teams/organizations in bringing high quality digital products to market, increasing online conversion in retail, hotel, and/or travel industry

- 8+ years’ experience with strong technical experience in Adobe Target and running an Optimization Program for a Fortune 500 company, including the ability to manage vendor teams

- 5+ years’ experience with optimizing Conversion funnels, Site analytics, Site Testing, CRM and Marketing Systems in a B2C business environment

- 3+ years’ experience progressing testing velocities by exploiting Adobe Target refinements

- 1+ year experience working in an agile environment with basic understanding of backlog, scrums, Kanban boards and intake/grooming optimization

- Strong ability to collaborate with C-level executives and across broad organizations including technology, marketing, sales, operations, product and finance

- Demonstrated strong abilities to see beyond data, teasing stories and drilling down to why(s) from number-heavy dashboards and reports

- Deep yet varied experience across many aspects of marketing strategy: brand, digital content, user journeys, comms, social, paid media, conversion optimization, cross-sell/upsell, audience segmentation, A/B Testing, merchandising, etc.

- Deep knowledge of digital technologies, with an eye toward the continual change in consumer technology, including but not limited to artificial intelligence, bots and voice recognition.

- Proficient with developing clear and comprehensive briefs, frameworks, and marketing strategies, backed up by relevant data

- Proficient in SEO best practices

- Strong knowledge of industry best practices and competitive landscape

- Proficient in user experience and design principles.

- Demonstrated achievements in leading successful digital marketing programs

- Proven advanced proficiency in web analytics.

- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology

- Experience in cruise, travel, retail preferred

- 5+ years of using Adobe Target with 2+ years using Search and Promote functions in Target as well as exposure to Target's recommendation engine preferred
- 5+ years of using Adobe Analytics

- Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel (including lookups, pivots)

- Knowledge of JIRA, Monetate, Adobe Test and Target, Adobe Experience Manager a plus.

- 8+ years of advanced Excel usage including lookups, pivots

- BI Experience using tools like Tableau and PowerBI a major plus
