Job Description


Associate, Projects role in our product development PMO team is a critical role to assist and support various products and programs across our ship and land portfolio. The Associate would be responsible for managing small to medium size projects with increasing responsibility using various project management approach, such as agile and kanban.


  •  Adheres to established project management processes and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.)
  • Supports decisions made by the Program Managers and takes timely independent actions in pursuit of project priorities
  • Leads small projects and possibly larger ones depending on experience and abilities, including resource and financial project planning
  • Responsible for supporting the Program Managers with the development of project schedules and other related documentation
  • Understand the product and organizational impact by partner with Stakeholders and Product Owners
  • Manages the identification of operational changes required to meet project deliverables
  • Project coordination and support the development of project Change Requests impacting scope, time and budget
  • Partner with Vendor to support daily activities and project implementations
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other Information Systems department associates and customer representatives.
  • Reacts to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently.
  • Flexible during times of change.
  • Prepares standard project status reports for project delivery team or work group, client and management. Reports typically include: status update, budget, schedule and risk.
  • Manages and schedules meeting and communication plan(s) regarding projects among team and/or client.
  • Coordinates and obtains vendor quotations for processing.
  • Consults change orders, change directives (CD) and contemplative change notices (CCN) with consultants and vendors.
  • Ensure project information data (i.e. project status updates, schedule updates, cash flow forecasts) and project documentation are updated in the project management technology tools (software applications, web-based tools, job cost accounting tools).
  • Acts as a point of contact for escalated matters among the team.
  • Assists in project close-out procedures for all projects Assists with project administration deliverables (i.e. meeting minutes; budget tracking; schedule updates; move management; closeout).


Job Requirements


  • Bachelor¿s Degree with 3 + years of work experience as Project Coordinator or similar position.
  • Engineering Degree, Product Development, Project Management, Industrial Engineering or equivalent preferred.
  • PMP or Agile Certified Practioner (ACP) or ScrumMaster
  • Technically competent with various software programs, such as Microsoft Project, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Office 365.
  • Knowledge of and ability to utilize current word processing, spreadsheet, e-mail and Internet software.
  • Experience with process and industry methodologies for Project management
  • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.
