Job Description

Position Summary:

This position will support all marketing, internal communications, event planning, and branding initiatives for Royal Caribbean's Data Analytics & AI internal team. 

 

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for developing annual event programming by staying in touch with Miami Data Scientists/Data community for local events, recommend which ones to sponsor, what levels and what should participation be
    • Create content for marketing/recruiting material we would share, banners, design our space
  • Be a brand ambassador by going to identified local data science meetups to get the word out about our team & hiring
  • Administer Slack, post relevant events/content by staying current, help build team spirit/online culture by posting appropriate content
  • Create, develop, and manage confluence sites, Lunch & Learns, & external recruiting events
    • Identify & recommend speakers and topics
    • Work with speakers to create the right level of content for the audience
    • Work with outside vendors to identify space & other logistics
    • Partner with Legal on contract negotiations
  • Design PowerPoint and other communication templates
  • Responsible for creating engaging presentation decks for leadership & stakeholder updates based on meeting notes and sketches from team
  • Responsible for managing the social media account and defining the voice
  • Help with culture building – team building activity planning
  • Manage the department newsletter (creative aspect, not just execution)
  • Create and manage the department website and branding for the team
  • Come up with swag for team & coordinate distribution
  • Design department on-boarding process for new hires and execute/continuously improve
  • We expect this role to have a lot of latitude and creative abilities and not be an order-taker.

 

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • BA or BS degree in HR or Marketing related field or equivalent work experience
  • Experience with web/online authoring, publishing, and content management tools
  • Experience with event management
