Position Summary:

This role will serve as one of the key IT roles for digital related initiatives to ensure that Royal Caribbean is well positioned for future growth in the digital solution area. He/she will partner closely with the business to manage and implement the key digital projects to improve digital capabilities and results.

This position contributes to the success of the enterprise by working with various business teams on Digital Planning and Execution while also ensuring the business requirements can be addressed and translated into the IT solutions properly and timely, as well as providing the advices of Digital business process and solution.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead assigned China IT Digital projects that supports vast business growth and demands in align with business digital strategy, this includes (but not limited to) Website operations, E-Commerce, Social media adoption, Mobile adoption, Collaboration, Customer service, Innovation, Digital Campaign and analytics.
  • Manage the delivery of requirements, use-cases, prototypical user experiences, test plans, and business change management, by working as a IT business partner, Business Analyst and Program/Project manager.
  • Evaluate new technologies and identify the ROI and cost benefit analysis for using new technologies.
  • Actively participate in the development of technical architecture for assigned systems and projects.
  • Partner with business team and provide valuable suggestions of digital solutions to improve the current business process as an internal consultant, as well as to influence and well manage the expectation of business leaders.
  • Work closely with vendors to lead and manage complex software development and integration technology projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Work hand-in-hand with related Application Services Managers to architect, develop, test, certify and install solutions into the production environment in China and US.
  • Responsible for routine project management duties like assembling the project team, developing and controlling project plans, managing project budgets, resolving issues and status reporting.
  • Ensures adherence to IT standards and established industry standards and practices for design and development of systems.
  • Manage IT vendor partners to ensure timely, high-quality and cost effective solutions and services.
  • Stay informed on new digital solution trends and contributes to digital IT strategy development.

 

Job Requirements

Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills:

  • Above 7 years of Information Technology Experience.
  • 3+ years of technical background in the Digital space (functional and technical), hands-on coding capability highly preferred.
  • Fluent English speaking is a must.
  • Experience in the following Digital business tools and technologies: Digital commerce, Web Content management, Search, Web Analytics, Marketing / campaign management, Wechat related development, Mobile and Social networking.
  • Strong ownership of the assigned projects as an intendent leader.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to influence managers and executives.
  • Ability to interact effectively with internal business teams, at different levels of the organization.
  • Experienced in collaborate with and lead Global IT and business teams, to deliver business process improvements and solution within a tight schedule.
  • General business acumen and understanding of the role of technology in business transformation and increased operational efficiency.
  • Possess excellent analytical skills and be able to sift through large and often conflicting data to develop key insights.
  • Passionate about technology and its ability to transform businesses.
  • Experience in management of outsourced vendor relationships with strong negotiation skills.
  • Experience with outsourcing and distributed global team environment is a must.
  • Proven ability to deliver in a high-pressure and stressful environment
  • Experience across 2+ product / tools in Digital solutions
  • High energy, self-motivated and independent
  • Experience in online payment and ecommerce solutions
  • Experience with Web/Mobile/Wechat application development
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and activities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Understanding of fundamental project management concept
  • Experience of project management using Agile and Jira/Confluence highly preferred
  • PMP certification
