Job Description


Position is responsible for maximizing net revenue and margins from Concession partners and other Onboard Revenue areas.  This role is also responsible for partnering with area owners to analyze performance and develop growth strategies.  This role will own the forecasting, analysis, and reporting functions for revenue centers including, but not limited to, Retail, Spa, Gym, Photo, Art, Port Shopping, Bingo, and Weddings.  The position will be responsible for identifying and proposing new revenue ideas supported by data analytics.  The role will also play an important role in contract renewals and new bids.  The success of this role will be measured by year over year performance growth in each area.


  • Partner closely with the Hotel Operations Data & Analytics team to analyze current and historical performance for growth opportunities in both volume, margin, pricing, efficiencies, and consumer behavior
    Collaborates with AVP, area owners, and concession partners to set annual strategic plans and quarterly forecasts
  • Owns analysis for RFPs and contract renewals
  • Builds business models to support new initiatives and pilots and delivers post-mortem analysis
  • Identify and lead the development of reports and initiatives to better leverage existing information and systems (i.e.: high value guest report and demographic data)
  • Analyzes performance of new products and services and provides insights into improvements
  • Creates training materials and communicates with shipboard teams to help them better understand financial reporting and work with shipboard teams to identify and correct errors.
  • Assists with other various ad hoc analyses
  • Summarizes variance investigations and assists in the development of action plans; builds regression models to predict effects of operational revenue/cost action plans
  • Identify new revenue ideas and programs to be developed for shipboard implementation that support corporate and Hotel Operations' strategic and operational goals


Job Requirements


  • Four-year Bachelor's or equivalent (MBA preferred); or four to ten years related financial and business analysis experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Candidate must possess strong written and oral communication skills and be able to work effectively with all levels of operational personnel.
  • Experience in Travel/ Leisure or Consumer Goods industry a plus
  • Expertise in database analytics and revenue optimization
  • Ability to compile, analyze and manage the financial aspects of an operation, including the successful identification of revenue growth opportunities
  • Advanced Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint and MS Project required
  • Proficiency in Brio, SQL, Visual Basic, Essbase, Power BI, Hyperion and business intelligence tools preferred.
  • Advanced analytical skills should include mathematical modeling; broad exposure to operations research, and statistics.
  • Strong decision making experience, critical thinking, cost/benefit analysis, using logic and analysis to identify the strengths and weaknesses of different approaches.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to read, write and present extensive and complicated procedures.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally and work flexible hours.
