Job Description

Position Summary:

  • Royal Caribbean Cruises, LTD. (RCCL) is seeking an Information Security Metrics Lead to establish a metrics reporting function to include design, collection, reporting and thought leadership. 
  • The successful candidate for this position will champion and develop an IT risk appetite statement that informs our NIST CSF based governance structure on IT risk across the enterprise.
  • This position will require superior communication, networking and leadership presentation skills.  

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Thought leader and creator of the information security metrics program globally. 
  • Create, maintain, and report information security metrics  in alignment with NIST CSF governance structure.
  • Perform complex quantitative and qualitative analysis for IT processes to produc Key Risk indicators.
  • Create and maintain Information Security department dashboards
  • Collaborate closely with the information security teams as well as business and IT stakeholders to ensure that metrics are complete, accurate and reported to the proper audience.
  • Manages the collection of metrics from a wide-array of technology toolsets.
  • Support IT leaders on information security and IT metrics best practices with fitment to RCCL business and operational model.
  • Maintains information security leading KRI/KPI practices to inform governance program direction.
  • Reviews and opines on metrics communication language to a NIST CSF based governance structure to align with information security policy.
  • Timely completion of the design and creation of IT/Security metric reports and dashboards.

 

Financial Responsibilities

  • Ensures individual expenses align with department budget.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics or Statistics is preferred, nontechnical degrees with Computer Science fundamentals will be consider combined with technology experience.
  • At least 4 years’ experience in one or more of the following fields: IT, Data Science/AI, or IT based statistics.
  • 1-3 years of Information Security experience.
  • 5 years of experience in managing projects. 
  • Superior written and verbal communications required.
  • Ability to facilitate and communicate in a manner appropriate to audience size or level and via multiple mediums.

 

 

 

Job Requirements

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Expert with Microsoft 0365 suite of applications, ability to convert raw technology metrics into meaningful reports at an executive level.
  • Ability to configure and operate a variety of IT tools for metrics reporting.
  • Power BI, Smart sheet, or similar reporting tool experience preferred.
  • Statistical or data analytics/science technical background preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with technical subject matter experts and translate that information seamlessly to non-technical employees and stakeholders.
  • Strong project management experience and the ability to prioritize and balance multiple metric building projects simultaneously.

Physical Demands:

  • Should be able to be onsite at office environment and work at least 8 hours a day for 5 days a week.

Work Environment:

  • Office environment.
  • Up to 10% travel internationally may be required on land, ocean, and air.
