Position Summary:
Manage and oversee building maintenance, equipment, vendors and service contracts for various out-sourced services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage Facilities G&A Budget
  • Supervise janitorial vendor and general cleanliness of facility.  Maintain interior plant landscaping
  • Supervise grounds maintenance vendor.  Manage ground water removal system
  • Manage the maintenance of all building systems, i.e., HVAC, lighting, life safety systems, etc.
  • Supervise security vendor, security system and manage general security of property and personnel
  • Create requisitions for purchases, as well as receive, review, code, and approve all purchase orders and invoices 
  • Review all quotes for repairs and maintenance
  • Manage all incoming and outgoing mail
  • Supervise generator tests, fuel quality and fuel levels
  • Manage yearly water and air quality testing
  • Assist in development of annual operating budget
  • Manage vending machines and coffee service
  • Manage recycling program and trash removal.  Manage copy machine services
  • Manage general building maintenance, repairs and replacement
  • Supervise building repairs as required
  • Manage furniture issues, such as reconfiguration and purchases
  • Manage yearly fire and tornado drills
  • Manage Facilities G&A Budget. $966K annual budget
  • The employee may move about the office complex, may travel to other office locations and may lift, push, pull or move 20-25 pounds. Visual requirements include distant, close and color vision, and ability to adjust focus.


Job Requirements

Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills:

  • High school diploma required; college degree optional
  • 5 - 10 years of experience in facilities management, project management or related field
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience managing budgets
  • Knowledge of cost control management
  • Experience managing and maintenance of all building systems; HVAC, electrical, mechanical, security, ground maintenance, required
  • Ability to manage emergency situations and manage to resolution.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. 
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.  
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, percentage, and interpret bar graphs.
  • Able to manage budget and maintain cost controls.
  • Ability to solve practical problems; deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. 
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instruction furnished in written, oral diagram or schedule form.
  • Able to communicate verbally and in writing.
