POSITION OVERVIEW

Reporting to the AVP Talent, Engagement, Diversity & Inclusion, the Director of Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) will play an integral role toward the development of the company’s global D&I strategy in alignment with the business strategy. This individual will help build an inclusive culture for the organization, integrating strategies and employee/talent metrics, KPIs and related data to create, refine and deploy D&I solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, implement, and communicate enterprise-wide global D&I strategy in alignment with the company’s business strategy and objectives for both shoreside and shipboard populations.
  • Partner with talent attraction, talent management, global learning & development, and other internal teams to integrate the D&I initiatives into the overall talent agenda and supplier diversity strategy.
  • Partner with Leadership to ensure D&I goals for shipboard as well as shoreside are tied to business goals and embedded throughout all initiatives.
  • Create and/or optimize D&I processes and structures, ensuring that Employee Resource Groups and the Global Executive Diversity Council are operating effectively and aligned with the business priorities.
  • Track progress against metrics that drive D&I accountability and create data-driven insights for greater future impact in the company. Manage communications efforts related to activities and outcomes of the company’s diversity strategy and programs internally and externally.
  • Monitor public regulatory/policy changes and local advocacy trends.
  • Influence business leadership to proactively attract and develop future talent.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8-10 years of experience in a D&I leadership role.
  • Proven ability to become a trusted advisor to business leaders and other influencers at all organizational levels, based on subject matter expertise and collaborative leadership style.
    • Partnering with and influencing HR and business leaders to design and advance strategy and outcomes
    • Planning, implementing, and communicating diversity insights based on data and analytics.
    • Integrating D&I insights in talent acquisition / management and succession planning processes.
    • Managing external benchmark and branding surveys and associated metrics to demonstrate impact.
  • Experience developing and executing D&I strategy in a global organization.
  • Strong leadership, team building, influencing, change management, compliance/risk management abilities within large scale, multi-country, multi- dimensional company known for its D&I effectiveness.
  • Capability to work both strategically and hands-on to deliver results.
  • Strategic and forward-thinking with strong business acumen and the ability to identify and proactively address enablers and derailers of major change and transformation initiatives.
  • Proven ability to communicate and synthesize complex issues in a concise, clear and convincing fashion.
  • Experience in public speaking with c-suite presence and credibility, sound judgment, business acumen and high level of professionalism.
  • Successfully implemented / engaged in the development of supplier diversity programs.
  • Broad Human Resources experience is preferred.
  • Experience interacting with media channels is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business with specialization in HR, Social Sciences or equivalent required.
