POSITION SUMMARY: Provides support to the Planning and Analytics section of Strategic Sourcing. This position is responsible for analyses and maintenance of business systems in accordance with established guidelines and makes recommendations for improvements in processes and systems. ________________________________________



  1. Analyze and maintain data for key procurement systems, including global markets, vendor pricing, and fleet cruise profiles.
  2. Review all updates to deployment, revenue accounting, and logistics loading schedules to identify changes and accurately update fleetwide cruise profiles.
  3. Detect and report changes which impact procurement activities, including changes to loading schedule or deployment which may impact existing Purchase orders. Coordinate with Fleet Services and Logistics to resolve.
  4. Aggregate data across multiple sources to identify inconsistencies and coordinate with the data source owner for resolution.
  5. Review change requests to procurement data, validate data integrity and completeness against established requirements, and execute change.
  6. Prepare recurring reports for the procurement team, including change request logs, monthly spend and consumption reports, and other scheduled reports.
  7. Develop and prepare variety of ad hoc reports to support the procurement team as requested.
  8. Validates business processes and systems and quantifies impact of changes by performing quantitative analysis as directed.
  9. Makes recommendations to eliminate or modify non value-added steps.
  10. Document new procedures; may conduct informal employee training in new processes or procedures.
  11. Independently coordinate with team members in Procurement and Logistics to gather data and troubleshoot discrepancies between systems as it relates to assigned responsibilities.
  12. Performs operational support and/or analysis for an assigned area.
  13. Confers with other staff members to coordinate departmental initiatives and establish reporting and record keeping process.
  14. Supports department procedures to ensure effective coordination between departments and/or the ships.
  15. Participates with the division management, which may include the AVP, Director, or Sr Manager, in fulfilling initiatives, goals and objectives which support the fleet through company policies and procedures.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS: 3 to 5 years’ experience implementing business process and systems improvements in a supply chain area of a hospitality or comparable industry. Bachelor’s degree in Business or Financial degree with emphasis on Business Processes or combination of education and relevant experience required.



KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Must have background in analysis with emphasis on implementing process improvement steps.  Must be familiar with various MRP software systems and how they function. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and have the ability to gather information independently, and communicate with all levels of employees and management. Knowledge of personal computers within a Windows environment with e-mail, Microsoft Word and Power Point and related printers and equipment. Intermediate to advanced level of Excel.

This position may travel. Visual requirements include distant, close and color vision, and ability to adjust focus.

The environment includes work inside/outside the office, and travel to other offices. A high noise level is possible if visiting shipboard or offsite locations.
